BIOGRAPHY:

Hongxia Hao has been a research associate at Key Laboratory of Evidence Science, China University of Political Science and Law, Ministry of Education since 2009. She received a doctorate in Drug Analysis (2009) from Chinese People’s Public Security University. Her current research work focuses on the development of chemical sensors as well as functional materials for drug and explosive analysis.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

The main scope of Hongxia Hao's research is the development of new techniques for application in toxicology and trace evidence, especially in drug abuse. Our lab is employing a surface Plasmon resonance system for the detection of drug abuse and explosive. Molecular imprinting technology is applied in surface Plasmon resonance spectroscopy for highly sensitive and selective detection of drug such as morphine and heroine. The approaches require small amounts of polymer and would also be feasible for expensive target molecules such as toxins and explosive. Another research is about the new systematic analysis method of CO poisoning, using HS/GC/MS and providing an experimental basis among these cases of CO poisoning. We detect the %COHb in blood and hepatic tissues no matter they are fresh or decomposed.
