Biography
BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Avinash Shankar is currently working as Chairman for National Institute of Health & Research (Previously RA Hospital & Research Centre), an autonomous organization. He graduated in medicine from India’s premier rural health Institute, Mahatma Gandhi Institute Of Medical Sciences, Sewagram (Wardha), Postgraduate in internal medicine with super specialization in Endocrinology and Metabolism from AIIMS New Delhi, DM (Critical Medicine) in 2006. Motivated with the ethics of MGIMS, Objectives of Kasturba Health Society and motive of the founder Dr. Sushila Nayar, devoted himself for rural health care and working with the organization presenting more than 200 original scientific papers at various National and International medical conferences in India and abroad published more than 300 original research work in national and International medical journal, he has redefined the therapy modalities of various non-curable disease. Dr. Avinash Shankar associated with various Indian and international medical journals as an Editorial board member. He delivered key note address and guest lecture at various international platform. He acquired qualification in Ayurveda, Acupuncture and studied various therapeutic sciences to provide cure of the disease rather than provide prescription for symptomatic relief. He authored various books – Hand Book of poisoning, Synopsis of diagnosis, Synopsis of treatment, Common errors of medical practice, Medical report writing, and Pharmacological basis of indigenous therapeutics. He worked and delivered as guest faculty of endocrinology at various medical universities. To ensure the devotion for rural health care he associated with various NGO Vihar samaj kalyan sansthan, Ranchi, Punarjeevan Bihar, Institute of applied Medicine and Leucoderma Foundation of India, Epilepsy Forum of India, Centre for Research in Endocrinology & Metabolism.
