Isolated In-Situ Axial Hepatic Mal-Rotations: Implication on Laparoscopic; Surgical Anatomy and Practice
Three dimensional anatomy and congenital anomalies are crucial determining the trocar positions and the optimal site view
for any laparoscopic procedure. Such critical issue mandates preoperative diagnosis of topographic anatomical variations. Clinical reporting
on congenital foregut anomalies does not include yet variation in liver rotation. This research is documenting such unrevealed anomaly and
stressing on its implication in the field of contemporary laparoscopic surgery.
Variation in Anatomy Complicating Exposure for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
An 82 years old male presented to our clinic almost 11 years after initial incidental diagnosis of a 5cm abdominal aortic aneurysm
(AAA) after which he was lost to follow up. He had stable vital signs and was found to have a large pulsatile mass upon abdominal
examination. His laboratory tests were within normal limits.
A Case of Bilateral Duplicated Ureter - Gross Anatomy
Duplicated ureter is a frequent malformation that occurs in approximately 1 in 20 people. We herein report the detailed case of bilateral duplicated ureter in which two ureters originated from a single renal pelvis and merged just proximal to the ureterovesical junction.
MRI of the Psoas Major Muscle: Origin, Attachment, Anatomical Variants and Correlation with the Lumbar Disc Extrusion
To verify the psoas major muscle (PMM) anatomical origin and variants, to evaluate the PMM attachment to the lumbar disc and variants, and to search for correlation between the anatomic variants of PMM attachment to the disc and disc extrusion.
