Effect of “BEAUTYCOFFEE” on Body Weight A Pilot Study in Patients with Obesity
Background and Aims: Obesity and overweight are associated with a wide spectrum of morbid conditions, which contribute to high prevalence of disability and mortality worldwide. These conditions include the metabolic syndrome, cardio--
vascular and cerebro-vascular events, and fatty liver disease with the possible deterioration to liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and malignancy. Despite the wide variety of treatment options available, which include lifestyle modifications and medical and surgical interventions, obesity is still considered a worldwide pandemic, necessitating the search for additional treatment options. As caffeine exerts weight-reducing properties, we here studied the effect of Beautycoffee, a dietary supplement composed of black and green coffee arabica, together with herbal compounds, believed to be effective towards decreasing body
weight.
Effects of High-Intensity Circuit Training on Body Composition and Selected Cardiovascular Parameters in Overweight and Obese Children Aged 9-12
The problem of excess body weight is becoming an epidemic in the general population, especially among children aged to 12 years old. Efforts are being made to find a way to retreat the unfavorable changes related with obesity. This
problem is escalating, and the direction of effective protective actions is not sufficiently recognized. The research presented
in this study demonstrate the range of changes in overweight and obese children after an 8 weeks of circuit training program, with simultaneous parental education on modifying their children dietary habits

the PRISMA guidelines. The STROBE checklist and the Jadad scale were also used for quality assessment.
Does Body Mass Index Influence the Onset and Prognosis of Colorectal Cancer?
Overweight and obesity are considered an increasing colorectal cancer risk factor. The association between excess body weight and colorectal cancer appears to be related to a state of systemic low-grade inflammation, due to an overproduction of proinflammatory cytokines.
Multivariate Multiple Regression Models Based on Principal Component Factor Scores to Predict Bodyweight from Morphometric Traits in a Population of Indigenous Sheep in Ethiopia.
This study aimed at assessing variability among morphometric traits, deducing components that describe these traits and predicting bodyweight from both original and orthogonal traits using regression models. Bodyweight and fifteen morpho- metric traits namely height-at-whither (HW), body-length (BL), chest-depth (CD), chest-girth (CD), rump-length (RL), rump-height (RH), pelvic-width (PW), shoulder-width (SW), head-width (HdW), head-lengthHdL), cannon-bone-length (CBL), cannon-bone-circumference (CBC), ear-length (EL), horn-length (HL), tail-length (TL), and tail-circumference (TC) were recorded on 600 extensively managed and randomly selected adult sheep.
GMP-Compliant Production of a Fluorescent Antibody for in vivo Molecular Endoscopy in a Phase I/IIa Clinical Study in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients
Therapeutic response to anti-TNF antibody treatment in inflammatory bowel diseases is strongly influenced by transmembrane tumor necrosis factor (mTNF) expression in the intestinal mucosa. Fluorescent anti-TNF antibodies applied for in vivo molecular endoscopy have shown to be able to quantify mucosal mTNF expression in real-time and predict response to subsequent anti-TNF treatment in individual patients with Crohn’s.
Leptin Receptor Gene Variant Rs1137101 and Ghrelin Gene Variant Rs696217 are Associated with Body Mass Index in Brazilian Population: A Case-Control Study
Introduction: Obesity is a multifactorial condition influenced by environment and genetic factors. Controlling appetite
and satiety involves complex interactions between the hypothalamus, which is responsible for homeostasis regulation
energy, and hormones that regulate appetite including leptin and ghrelin. Leptin plays an important role in the regulation
of food intake and energy expenditure, generating an increase in energy burning and decreasing food intake. And ghrelin
is directly involved in the regulation of short-term energy balance.
Objectives: To verify frequency, biochemical profile and Body Mass Index (BMI) variations according to SNPs in LEPR
and GHRL gene.
Subjects and Methods: 163 both genders subjects were classified into Study Group (SG): 103 subjects with obesity; Control Group (CG): 60 non-obese. Blood samples were collected to perform DNA extraction and biochemical profile analysis. Statistical significance was established at p < 0.05.
Results: The genotype and allele frequency were similar between groups for both polymorphisms. The _/A genotype of
the GHRL rs696217 polymorphism was associated to increased BMI in SG compared CG (p = 0.003) and increased triglycerides (TG) and very low density lipoprotein (VLDLc) values in CG (p < 0, 05). The _/A genotype was also associated
with increased fasting glucose compared to CC genotype only in CG (p = 0.031). Considering the LEPR rs1137101 polymorphism, AA genotype subjects presented higher BMI compared to _/G genotype subjects (p = 0.024). No difference
between biochemical profile variables related to LEPR rs1137101 polymorphism was found.
Conclusion: AA genotypes of the LEPR rs1137101 polymorphism and _/A of the GHRL rs696217 polymorphism suggest
being risk factors for BMI and the latter is associated with fasting glucose, VLDLc and TG variation.
Relation between Osteocalcin and Metabolic Profils in Overweight Men: Comparison of Aerobic and Resistance Trainings
Objectives: Recent studies have shown that exercise by affecting bones causes the release of hormones that are effective in
regulating blood glucose, lipid profile and preventing vascular calcification. The present study aims to Comparison effect
of aerobic and resistance exercises on Osteocalcin and Metabolic Profils in Overweight men.
Methods: total of 33 overweight healthy men (BMI 29 = 67.96 ± 0.96 and age 33.2 ± 2.23) were randomly assigned into
three groups: control (n = 11), aerobic (n = 11) and resistance exercise (n = 11) groups. The training program was conducted for 8 weeks, 3 sessions per week for the training groups. Body compositions parameters (weight, body fat percent,
BMI) were analyzed, osteocalcin and blood biochemical parameters were assessed from fasting blood samples before and
after 8-week exercise programme.
Results: Body fat, BMI and body weight reduction following exercise (P<0/05), significantly increased serum Osteocalcin
(P<0/05, baseline vs Post exercise) and blood biochemical parameters significantly changes (P < 0/05). Increase in osteocalcin had a negative correlation with changes in body composition, as well as HOMA-IR and HDL, LDL not significantly
(all P > 0/05).
Conclusion: Aerobic and Resistance exercise cause to changes in body weight, body fat, BMI, as well as the increase level of
osteocalcin and improvement of glucose metabolism and lipid profiles. However, the difference between the two training
groups was not statistically significant.
Characterization of Indigenous Goats Type Using Morphological Characters in South West Shewa Zone, Oromia, Ethiopia.
This study was conducted in South west Shewa zone, to describe phenotypic characterization of indigenous goat type in Tole and Becho districts. Morphological and Linear body measurement were carried out to collect necessary raw data during the current study. Morphological characters and linear body measurements were collected from a total of 460 adult goats. Data collected from each site were coded and entered into the computer (Excel 2016 and SPSS, V21, 2013) computer software to facilitate for further analysis. Data collected through Morphological and linear body measurements were analyzed using (SPSS, V21, 2013 and SAS, release 9.2, 2008). Most frequently observed coat color pattern in study was plain 62.8%. Multiple correlations between body weight and linear body measurements were computed for the population within each sex and correlations among body weight and linear body measurements were positive for both sexes. The strong, positive and significant correlation between heart girth and body weight was observed (r = 0.97, 0.93) for male and female population, respectively. Generally, this study was aim to describe phenotypic characterization of indigenous goat type in the study area. The Most observed body color type was plain in the study area so its need investigation because farmers need plain color rather others.
Determination of ABO Blood Grouping from Different Body Fluids (Saliva)
The ABO blood group typing is the primary serological technique to be performed after collecting the blood sample from the crime scene. Cases like murder, rape, hit and run has the crime scene where we can easily find blood stains. But in some cases criminals remove those stains in order to conceal the evidence.
Effect of 4-h Time Restricted Feeding on Body Weight, Leptin Concentration and Lipid Profile in Healthy Non-Obese Male Wistar Rats
Obesity greatly increases the risk of metabolic diseases and preventive approaches for obesity are often insufficient to effectively prevent the diseases. Altering feeding time strategy intervention decreases caloric intake without calorie counting and may be an effective therapy. Therefore, this study investigates the effect of 4-h time restricted feeding
on body weight, leptin concentration and lipid profile in healthy non-obese male Wistar rats.

Monoclonal Antibodies for the CIGB-552 Antitumor Synthetic Peptide Quantification
The CIGB-552 peptide is a synthetic peptide that exerts cytotoxic effect on tumor cells. Thus, CIGB-552 peptide quantification in patient samples is crucial for assessing the treatment efficacy. Therefore, this study describes the generation and characterization of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) directed against the CIGB-552 peptide to be used in a quantification assay in further pharmacokinetic studies in humans. In this sense, the CIGB.552-H294 mAb specificity was evidenced only against the CIGB-552 peptide and a metabolite of 17 amino acids resulting from the CIGB-552 peptide degradation detected in mouse sera.
