Rare Adnexal Carcinomas: Series of Four Cases Treated at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital of Casablanca
Cutaneous adnexal carcinomas are rare cutaneous malignant adnexal tumors derived from eccrine and apocrine sweat glands, follicular structures and sebaceous glands. They represent less than 1% of cutaneous cancers Porocarcinoma and hidradenocarcinoma are two main types of eccrine sweat carcinomas of unknown pathogenesis
characterized by their clinicopathological diversity.
Physician and Patient Perspective to Weight Gain in Pregnancy
Gaining weight outside of the Institute of Medicine guidelines puts a woman and her foetus at an increased risk. Limited or incorrect information is being provided to women during antenatal care. Research shows that physicians do not perceive this as an important issue. We aimed to assess both physician and patient perspective to weight gain in pregnancy as well as assessing physicians current practice to weight management. 71% of women want to be given a target weight to gain during pregnancy; 87% want to be told if they are gaining an inappropriate amount of weight. 87.5% of physicians believe that weight management is important; 31.2% advise patients about weight gain.
Infective Endocarditis at Tricuspid Valve in CHD: What are its Characteristics? What is the Pathophysiology?
Infective endocarditis (IE) is a serious infectious disease that carries a high mortality rate. We report the case of 74-year-old female who is a chronic hemodialysis patient, and was presented with tricuspid valve endocarditis (TVIE) with central venous catheter, due to an Enterobacter Cloacae, which is a non-HACEK Gram-negative bacilli (GNB) and has been reported to be an extremely rare pathogen of IE. The patient was treated with imipenem and teicoplanin for a four-week period, with negative Blood culture and normal C reactive protein (CRP) levels at the end. The aim of our study is to understand the pathophysiology of the IE in chronic renal failure (CRF) especially at the tricuspid valve (TV), and to determine the clinical, biological characteristics and therapeutic modalities.

Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Derived from A Patient with Sporadic Alzheimer’s Disease Exhibit Altered Neuronal Proliferative Capacity
We generated two hiPSC clones from a patient with sporadic late-onset Alzheimer’s disease (AD-iPSCs), which expressed typical undifferentiated markers and passed standard pluripotency assays. Genome-wide microarray analysis revealed that AD-iPSCs were highly similar to control hiPSCs and hESCs, albeit with some noticeable differences in few genes, viz.: DNAJC15, GRPR, NAIP and SNORD116-18
Pharmacy Compounding Quality Control and Pharmaceutical Development Strategies for Seventeen alpha Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate in Prevention of Preterm Delivery
Seventeen alpha hydroxyprogesterone caproate (17-OHPC) is the only FDA-approved drug labeled for prevention of preterm delivery. This drug is also available as a compounded product from licensed compounding pharmacies. This article reviews the FDA approval history and pharmacy compounding quality control data of 17-OHPC, as well as briefly discusses possible future pharmaceutical development strategies for 17-OHPC.
