Bismuth Mass Fraction Determination in Thin Films by an ICP-AES Validated Method and Uncertainty Estimation
This paper covers the validation and measurement uncertainty evaluation of an ICP-AES method for bismuth mass fraction determination in bismuth sulfide thin films. Plasma view at radial mode and the wavelength were monitored for bismuth at 223.061 nm. Following AFNOR (Association Française de Normalisation) Norm NFT 90-210 (2009), a regression equation was calculated using single element bismuth standard solution prepared in the same matrix as samples. The linear range was between 0.2 and 2.0 mg L−1. Limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were calculated as 0.03 and 0.12 mg L−1, respectively. Recovery percentages were ranging between 91 and 109 %. Accuracy was found to be adequate. Estimated expanded uncertainty according to both GUM and EURACHEM guides was 3.1 %.
Short-Term Usage Time and Rate of CPAP Predict Long-Term CPAP Adherence in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Objective: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a highly prevalent disease associated with various morbidities worldwide.
Although continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the cornerstone of therapy, adherence to CPAP directly affects
its efficacy. Methods: We retrospectively investigated consecutive patients who were diagnosed with OSA and placed on CPAP the-
rapy within an approximate ten-year period. Using patient characteristics and short-term usage, the predictors of adhe-
rence to CPAP were evaluated.
Screening of Carica Papaya x Vasconcellea Cauliflora Hybrids for Resistance to Papaya Ring Spot Virus (PRSV)
Carica papaya x vasconcelleacauliflora and intergeneric F1 hybrids of these species were screened for resistance to severely infected papaya ringspot virus isolates of papaya ringspot virus. Artificial screening for papaya ringspot virus was carried out 27 days after sap inoculation. Out of twenty-nine F1 hybrid plants of CO 7 x Vasconcelleacauliflora, only six plants were found free from PRSV symptoms. Similarly, out of fifty-five F1 hybrid plants of PusaNanha x Vasconcelleacaulifloraonly twenty-three were found free from the symptoms and seventy plants out of 335 plants of CP50 x Vasconcelleacauliflora were found free from PRSV symptoms. The resistance of the hybrids and parents and their hybrids viz, CO 7 x Vasconcelleacauliflora, PusaNanha x Vasconcelleacauliflora and CP50 x Vasconcelleacauliflora were subjected to DAS ELISA test. Molecular marker viz, ISSR markers were used to check and verify the hybridity. ISSR markers showed confirmity on three hybrid progenies viz, CO7V3, CO7V5 and CO7V6 from CO 7 xVasconcelleacauliflora.
Detection of a Rheumatic Factor (RF,) Anti- Cyclic Citrullinated Peptides (Anti CCP) Antibodies and C- Reactive Protein (CRP) in Diagnosis and Prognosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis
Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis ( RA)is an autoimmune and inflammatory disease. It is characterized by arthrosynovitis with resultant joint destruction . So, an early clinical diagnosis along with simple serological tests like anti CCP antibodies, C –reactive protein ( CRP) and Rheumatoid factor (RF) play an important role .An attempt was made to study and compare these parameters in OPD and IPD RA patients in our hospital setup, VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital , New Delhi.
Aims and Objectives: To study the role of RF , Anti-CCP antibodies and CRP in early detection and prognosis of Rheu- matoid arthritis.
Materials and Methods: A Total of 440 samples were studied from January 2018 to December 2020 (3years). Correlation between Rheumatoid factor(RF) ,anti CCP antibodies and CRP in suspected RA patients from various departments like PMR , Orthopaedics , Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics was attempted. RF and CRP was performed using latex agglutination test and anti CCP antibody by ELISA.
Results and Conclusion: Of 440 samples tested, all the factors were positive in 87 patients . Anti CCP and RF alone was seen in 32 patients. RF and CRP positive in 49 patients, RF alone in 22 patients. In 250 patients all the tests were negative. So, Anti CCP along with RF and CRP showed a better positive predictive value in patients of Rheumatoid arthritis. But positivity of these parameters even in patients who lack sign and symptoms also aids in better diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
CPAP Effect in Patients with Hypertension: The Secret of Gods
Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a respiratory sleep disorder characterized by episodes of occlusion of the upper respiratory tract, resulting in intermittent chronic hypoxia and sleep fragmentation. Clinical studies have described an association between OSAS and arterial hypertension (SAH), with CPAP being the treatment of choice. The use of CPAP in the treatment of OSAS makes it possible to avoid blocking the passage of air to the lungs. The primary underlying mechanism of hypertension in individuals with OSAS is the activation of the sympathetic nervous system triggered by episodes of apnea. Currently, there are no studies that correlate the use of CPAP and the decrease in the use of antihypertensive agents in patients with OSAS.
Formulation and In-vitro Characterization of Fluoxetine Hydrochloride Loaded Fast Dissolving Oral Film Using HPMC 15CPS and HPMC K4M
Fluoxetine Hydrochloride (FH), a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) is a drug of choice in depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bulimia nervosa, etc. Though tablet, capsules, oral solution, or syrup are currently available conventional dosage form of FH, modified or immediate-release formulations for fast onset of action is of utmost importance.
The Effect of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Quality on Cardiac Arrest Outcome
Cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in USA, nearly 90% of them fatal and Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA)
is a leading cause of death worldwide. The Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), especially if administered immediately after cardiac
arrest, can double or triple a person’s chance of survival. CPR by training persons increases the frequency the survival rate. Therefore,
we aim to look into the common pitfalls that both medical students and genior physicians face in the recognition and dealing Compression in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with its outcome.

Xeroderma Pigmentosum Groups C and A in Algerian Patients with Deregulation of both Transcription and DNA Repair
Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by an extreme sensitivity to UV rays from sunlight, a high incidence of skin cancer and occasional neurological symptoms. XP, primarily defined as a DNA repair syndrome, has been found associated with defects in the Nucleotide Excision Repair (NER) pathway, and more recently by transcriptional deregulation. XP results from mutations in eight genes (XPA to XPG and XPV) coding for proteins involved in NER.
Labetalol in Comparison to Methyl Dopa in Treatment of Gestational Hypertension, A Randomized Trial
To evaluate the value and safety of labetalol in comparison to Alfa methyldopa in treatment of pregnant women with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH). 264 patients with PIH were randomly distributed to take either methyldopa (group 1) labetalol (group 2). or Intake of medications with respect to Age, gravidity, Blood Pressure measurement, albumin in urine measurement Levels, Side Effects, dose of the drug, increasing duration of pregnancy, mode of delivery, Perinatal safety and APGAR scores were studied. The statistical level of significance was taken at P<0.05.

Mitochondrial Actions for Fat Browning and Energy Expenditure in White Adipose Tissue
White adipose tissue (WAT) is an endocrine organ with crucial role in the development of obesity and related diseases. White adipocytes have less mitochondria than brown adipocytes; nevertheless, there is an increasing body of evidence showing that mitochondrial parameters play a relevant role in WAT physiology, such as proliferation, differentiation and triacylglycerol storage levels.
