How the Learning Curve Affects the Cochlear Implant Program in the Region of Murcia
We have analyzed the effect of the learning curve on the implementation of the Cochlear Implant Program in terms of intra and postoperative results. Here we present the results and complications found in our series, as well as what we believe is the most interesting aspect, the learning curves for two variables: complications and mean hospital stay.
Jugular Foramen Schwannoma Revealed By Unilateral Deafness
Jugular foramen schwannomas arising from cranial nerves IX, X, and XI are uncommon pathological conditions, slowly growing benign tumors that constitute approximately 2.9 to 4% of all intracranial schwannomas. Jugular foramen schwannomas represent 10-30% of all tumors observed around the jugular foramen.
Hydrocephalus in Congenital Rubella Syndrome: A Case Report
The Congenital Rubella Syndrome is a multisystemic disease and CNS involvement occurs in the form of microcephaly, mental/motor disabilities, leptomeningitis, encephalitis, vascular damage and retardation of myelination. We report a case of gross non-communicating hydrocephalus in a neonate of Congenital Rubella Syndrome which is a rare presentation.
