Improving Existing Waste Management Practices: Comparing the Effectiveness of Recycling Systems Between a Private International School and a Public School
Despite Taiwan’s title as one of the most efficient recycling systems, individual recycling habits contribute to these efficient recycling systems. Despite Taiwan’s successful strategy of demolishing waste through incineration, improper recycling at a grassroots level, such as students’ municipal solid waste recycling habits, result in recycling contamination, and improper
waste recycling could lead to the release of toxic fumes into the atmosphere. This study compares the recycling practices and recycle bin setups of a public school and a private international school to determine important factors that could contribute to decreasing waste recycled improperly. The results show that immediate feedback if a student recycled improperly
as well as clear recycling signs were essential factors to decrease recycling mistakes.
Assessment of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice on Louse Infestation and Associated Factors, Among Prisoners of Jimma Town Prison South Western Ethiopia
Background: Louse infestation is the poor personal hygiene and a blood feeding ectoparasitic insect of order ptrithirapetera. Inadequate access of water supply leads people to acquire communicable disease such as typhus and relapsing fever. Head lice cause much distress and worry in families with school-aged children. There are many available treatment options. Many of these options are costly and may not be effective.
Decontamination of Impressions: Knowledge and Attitudes of Dentists in The Dakar Region (Senegal).
Introduction: The prosthetic act must obey the rules of asepsis with a certain rigour for the decontamination of impressions to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. The objective of this study was to evaluate the knowledge and attitudes of practitioners in the Dakar region (Senegal) regarding the decontamination of impressions.
Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional descriptive epidemiological survey of 150 dentists in the Dakar region.
Results: The sample consisted of 59,3% men and 40,7% women. Practitioners practising in private practice were 61,0% against 39% in public practice. The majority (83.3%) of dentists in the study had not received any continuing education on aseptic procedures in prosthetics and had a vague idea of the term "decontamination of impressions". Nevertheless, almost all practitioners (94,0%) systematically rinsed the impressions with water after disinsertion, 48.7% of practitioners decontaminated their impressions with a disinfectant. The most used decontamination methods were immersion at 70.3% followed by spraying at 17.1%. Sodium hypochlorite (63.9%) was the most used solution due to its effectiveness, simplicity of use and cost.
Conclusion: There is diversity in the attitude and knowledge of dentists. Disinfection protocols that are simple to implement and adapted to the impression materials should be put in place. Moreover, a rinsing as soon as the mouth is removed must be carried out, then a post-disinfection rinsing for a better dimensional stability of our impressions.

Hand Washing: A Proposed Scoring Scale to Grade the Level of Practice of Mothers in the Community
History of hand washing as an intervention to reduce morbidity and mortality in hospitals dates back to early 1800’s and the practise has
yielded good results. Increasing evidence suggesting that hand washing significantly reduced the risk of respiratory tract infections and
diarrhoeal diseases, lead to the promotion of hand washing in homes as a public health intervention of choice with well documented impact.

Isolated In-Situ Axial Hepatic Mal-Rotations: Implication on Laparoscopic; Surgical Anatomy and Practice
Three dimensional anatomy and congenital anomalies are crucial determining the trocar positions and the optimal site view
for any laparoscopic procedure. Such critical issue mandates preoperative diagnosis of topographic anatomical variations. Clinical reporting
on congenital foregut anomalies does not include yet variation in liver rotation. This research is documenting such unrevealed anomaly and
stressing on its implication in the field of contemporary laparoscopic surgery.
