Treatment of Moderate Fluorosis with Combined Bleaching Protocols

The patient’s concern was the appearance of her maxillary and mandibular teeth, which had a mottled, brown-yellow enamel dysmineralization due to moderate fluorosis. The patient was 45 years old, and lived in Isparta region where drinking water has high concentration of Fluoride ion. Patient was a female doctor and was concerned that the appearance of her teeth would negatively impact interactions with her patients and social life.

Objective: To evaluate the compliance of chemotherapy administration duration by comparing the peripheral venous catheter (PVC) route with the implantable venous access device (IVAD).Keywords: Chemotherapy; Gravity perfusion; Peripheral venous; Implantable venous access deviceIntroduction Methods: This was a retrospective study that analyzed 566 cycles of chemotherapy administered by PVC at the Cancer Unit of Yalgado Ouédraogo University Hospital and 258 cycles administered by IVAD at the Oncology Department of Treichville University Hospital in Abidjan. We compared the differences between the programmed duration of chemotherapy and the actual duration of administration according to the two routes of administration.

A Reintegration Program for Elderly Prisoners Reduces Reoffending

Harsh sentences have resulted in many prisoners being elderly at the time of their release. However, the longer individuals have been incarcerated and the older they are, the more difficult it may be for them to re-enter free society. We developed a reintegration program to promote their successful adjustment to society and to prevent their reoffending, and evaluated its effectiveness. Participants were 25 older prisoners in Japan; all were homeless and more than 65 years old.
