Objective: To assess the changes in the Current clinical management of cancer cervix patients as the new staging considers
radiological and pathological criteria for cervical cancer staging.
Methods: This retrospective study Retrospective collection of the Data from the medical records.
Results: Five hundred and nine Patients were registered for cervical cancer from Jan 2019 to December 2021. The average
age of patients treated was 53yrs. The patients' age distribution ( Table 2 ) was Less than one percent of patients below 30yrs,
31.4 percent, and 40.6 percent were in the 50 to 60 yrs range
Modified Montage-Type Bronchoplasty with Complete Pulmonary Preservation
Among surgical cases of bronchoplasty with complete pulmonary preservation, those that require anastomosis of three stomas are rare. Usually, a double-barrel type reconstruction is performed by suturing two distal bronchi together and then anastomosing them to the proximal bronchus. However, the procedure is technically difficult because of the difference between the stomal diameter of the proximal bronchus and that of the two distal bronchi, and the tension at the anastomosis site is imbalanced. Herein, we present a rare surgical case of a bronchoplasty with complete pulmonary preservation in whom we performed an anastomosis between three stomas using a modified Montage-type technique. The advantage of this technique is that it allows free trimming of the anastomosed side-to-side stoma before anastomosis with the third bronchus, thus decreasing the tension at the anastomosis site and improving the outcome. We believe, this technique is superior to the other known techniques.
Multidetector CT Imaging of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Buccal Mucosa
This study aims at describing the CT imaging findings and role of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) in evaluation of squamous cell carcinoma of buccal mucosa and its staging. The imaging findings in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the oral cavity allow the radiologist to accurately determine the extent and staging of disease thereby help clinicians plan appropriate treatment.
Anthropometric Measures of Obesity to Predict Mortality using Edmonton’s Obesity Staging System, among Young Sudanese Females at Khartoum Locality, Sudan
Obesity is considered a serious health hazard. It predisposes the individual to many disorders, such as diabetes and heart disease, it shortens the life span, and it complicates childbirth and surgery. This study was a cross-sectional study conducted in health centers at Khartoum locality during November 2018- January 2019; aimed to predict mortality among a young female Sudanese population enrolled in health centers.
Nutrition Intervention of Patient with Chronic Kidney Disease (Stage 4) on Maintenance Hemodialysis

Dietary intervention was tailored for her using her past medical history and dietary intake. The dietary interventions were planned in 4 steps for 12 weeks that included nutritionally adequate food intake, Increase frequency of meals, modification & improvement in food preparation techniques, provision of educational material related to diet in dialysis.
Proposed Perioperative Guidelines for Selective Infectious Diseases in the Pediatric Population
It is essential for practitioners to recognize the pathophysiology of commonly presenting infectious diseases and their mode of
transmission. This allows healthcare workers to provide a safe perioperative experience for the patient as well as engage in appropriate
infection control practices. There are a number of noteworthy pediatric respiratory infections, such as the novel coronavirus, known
as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), and pulmonary tuberculosis.
Single Stage Surgical Management of an Adult Patient with Crouzon Syndrome
Crouzon syndrome is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by fusion of coronal and sagittal sutures. There is arrested growth of
the maxilla and zygoma resulting in shallow orbits with ocular proptosis, hypertelorism and maxillary hypoplasia. Hereby, we present a
case report of a 20-year-old Jamaican female with Crouzon syndrome, who had multiple facial deformities including midfacial hypoplasia,
short upper lip and hypertelorism.
Effect of Substituting Soybean Meal with Fermented Leaves and Seeds of the Rubber Tree (Havea brasiliensis) on Protein Intake and Percentage of Organ Weight in Broiler Chicken
This study aimed to determine the protein intake and percentage of organ weight in broilers fed rations containing fermented leaves and seeds from the rubber tree (FLSRT) as a substitute for soybean meal. The results of this study are also expected to reduce the use of imported feed ingredients and feed ingredients that compete with human needs, such as soybean meal.
Epidemiology of Bronchiolitis: Multicentric Study Policlinico-Garibaldi-Bronte-Caltagirone-Siracusa
Bronchiolitis is the most common infection of the lower airways of the 1st year. Infants with severe respiratory distress (2-3%) require hospital care. The aim of the study is to evaluate the frequency of Respiratory Virus (VRS) infection, the usefulness of the diagnostic score, the ventilatory support and the protective effect of vaccinations.
Hydroxyapatite Deposition Disease- Spontaneous Resolution of Significant Post Treatment Deposit
Calcific deposits are commonly seen on imaging done for other reasons. However, it can also present with periarthritis and adhesive capsulitis leading to severe disabling pain. Many theories have been proposed to explain the etiology and it is considered idiopathic by some. The management is also debatable, Barbotage being the most popular. In the majority of the cases it disappears spontaneously, requiring intervention like Barbotage and surgery only in a few cases. We present a case of a 45 year old female patient who had these calcific deposits in an unusual location of her right shoulder. These disappeared partially on conservative treatment. Subsequently, she developed severe pain in her right shoulder with restriction of all her movements. The pain was severe enough to interfere with her sleep. As a result she underwent barbotage. During the procedure an attempt was made to aspirate the calcific deposit in its entirety. This was not possible due to clogging of needle several times. There was complete resolution of pain following the procedure. However, post- procedure Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a significant residual calcification which completely resolved 02 months after therapy with no recurrence.
Variability of Morphological Markers of Cone and Seeds in Natural Populations and Artificial Plantations of the Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.)
The variability of morphological markers of the reproductive organs in seven natural populations and nine artificial plantations of the Scots pine of Ukrainian Polissya (Volyn, Rivne and Kyiv regions) was studied. The colour of cones, seeds, winged seeds, and the apophysis of the cones of the trees were used as morphological markers.
Preliminary Investigation of the Interaction of Misoprostol and Phenylbutazone on Bone Response to Injury in Horses
Phenylbutazone (PBZ) is commonly used in equine patients for treatment of orthopedic injuries. Phenylbutazone may adversely affect bone healing because of suppression of prostaglandin production. We hypothesized that administration of the prostaglandin analog misoprostol would enhance bone healing and mitigate the untoward effects of PBZ on bone response to injury in horses. The objectives of this study were to determine whether the administration of misoprostol would enhance bone healing and whether concurrent administration of PBZ and misoprostol would mitigate the untoward effects of phenylbutazone. Twenty horses were randomly assigned to one of four groups (n=5 per group): Group 1 (untreated control), Group 2 (phenylbutazone alone), Group 3 (misoprostol, alone), or Group 4 (concurrent treatment with phenylbutazone and misoprostol). A 4.5-mm diameter uni-cortical bone defect was created in one metacarpal III bone of all horses. Fluorochromic bone labels were administered intravenously on Days 0, 7, and 14. Computed tomographic osteoabsorptiometry and histomorphometric analyses were performed on the harvested metacarpal bones. Phenylbutazone treatment caused a decrease in endosteal new bone formation. Administration of misoprostol appeared to mitigate the magnitude of the PBZ effect on new bone formation (endosteal in-growth, p<0.06). Bone specific alkaline phosphatase serum activity decreased throughout the 14-day period of stall confinement. Mineral apposition rates increased in all groups during the period from 7 to 14 days after bone injury. Further research is needed to determine if this effect is significant. The administration of misoprostol may be beneficial to lessen the undesired impact of phenylbutazone on bone healing in horses.
The Influence of Sodium on the Characterization of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Thin Films Prepared by Three-Stage Deposition Process
The objective of this work is to investigate the influence of sodium on the characteristics of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) thin films prepared by a three-stage deposition process with a MoNa back contact, in comparison to Mo/SLG. The XRD results show that all the CIGS thin films deposited onto Mo/SLG substrates have the (112) preferred orientation, rather than the (220/204) orientation of CIGS deposited onto Na-free substrates.
Postural Impairment of Adults and Adolescents Cerebral Palsy Inpatients at the Retaguarda Hospital of Ribeirão Preto-SP
Introduction: Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a condition that described a group of permanent movement and postural development disorders, leading to activity limitations as a result of non-progressive distress during foetal or infant brain development. The non-pregressive distress is frequently associated to sensation, perception, cognition, communication and behavioural disorders, by epilepsy or by secondary muscle distress.
Thyroid Cancer Incidence and Clinicopathological Differences in Patients with End-Stage Renal Failure
Aim: In the present study we aimed to determine the prevalence of thyroid cancer and the clinicopathological properties of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) in a patient population undergoing dialysis for end-stage renal failure (ESRF).
Material and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all thyroid ultrasonography (USG) examinations performed between January 2007 and December 2015 to determine the incidence of nodular thyroid disease in ESRF and normal patient populations. For both patient groups, differences between patient and tumor characteristics were evaluated in patients diagnosed to have PTC.
