Determination of ABO Blood Grouping from Different Body Fluids (Saliva)

The ABO blood group typing is the primary serological technique to be performed after collecting the blood sample from the crime scene. Cases like murder, rape, hit and run has the crime scene where we can easily find blood stains. But in some cases criminals remove those stains in order to conceal the evidence.

Synthesis and Characterization of Clay Brick Using Waste Groundnut Shell Ash

Clay bricks have been made since ancient periods. The higher demand for this brick fails to support the needs. This is because clay is the non-renewable materials. Therefore, new artificial cement blocks have been introduced to satisfy the fast demand in the world. However, the clay bricks are the most eco-friendly and form green environment. Thus, the government, researchers, and engineers trying to introduce the clay bricks with the value addition of natural agro waste materials. In one way, these materials improve the physical properties of the clay as well as reduce the environmental pollutions. Our aim at this research was to introduce a green environment clay bricks of value-added Groundnut Shell Ash (GSA) as a partial substitution.

Investigation on Silver Ion Release from Wound Dressings In Vitro and In Vivo

Introduction: In recent years, silver ion based dressings have been widely developed and approved in the market. Meanwhile, methods for selecting appropriate standard models to investigate the silver ion release in vitro and in vivo remains unknown with regard to the safety assessment. Methods and Results: In this study, we have identified that silver ion release in eagle minimum essential mediums(MEM) with 10% fetal calf serum had shown better release kinetics in comparison to other vehicles including simulated body fluid (SBF), 0.9% physiological saline, and 5% glucose.

Bioequivalence Study of Two Oral-Capsule Formulations of Pregabalin 300 mg in Healthy Mexican Adult Volunteers

Pregabalin is a ligand for the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. It has anticonvulsant, analgesic, and anxiolytic activity. The bioequivalence of a test formulation was evaluated with respect to its corresponding reference drug formulation of oral pregabalin 300 mg, administered as a capsule. This randomized-sequence, single-dose, single-blind, two-period crossover design under fasting conditions was done on 25 healthy Mexican adult subjects including both genders. There was a seven-day washout period.

Reduction of Bitterness and Enhancing Palatability of Cetirizine Oral Liquid Dosage Forms by Cyclodextrins

The aim of this manuscript is to study cyclodextrins (CDs) as a potential excipient to suppress bitterness and enhance palatability of pediatric liquid preparations for Cetirizine, an extremely bitter drug. Natural α, β and γ CDs; and β CD derivatives such as hydroxyl propyl (HP), randomly methylated (RM) and sulfobutyl ether (SBE) β-CDs were screened in different molar ratios of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 for their inhibition of the extremely bitter taste of Cetirizine using the human gustatory sensation test.
