Vasculitis Associated with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

A patient is present who has chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and developed a vasculitis involving the skin and large vessels along with immune complex mediated glomerulosclerosis. Both vasculitis and immune complex nephritis are rare manifestations of CLL.

Persisting Cough as the Single Presenting Symptom of an Intrathoracic Tumor in a Nine-Month-Old Child with Adenovirus Airway Infection

We report on a nine-month-old girl who presented with persisting cough, and diminished ventilation of the left hemithorax. Viral pneumonia was suspected after Adenovirus detection by PCR, but chest X-rays showed a persistent shadowing of the left hemithorax and persistent coughing despite clinical improvement. Because of the discrepancy between clinical and radiological signs further investigations by ultrasound and CT scan were performed, which visualized an intrathroracic tumor. Histopathology confirmed diagnosis of a teratoma.

Acrometastasis from a Pancreatic Primary Adenocarcinoma: A First Report in the Literature

A seventy five year male presented with acute onset right foot pain and swelling. Plain imaging revealed a lytic area in the medial and middle cuneiform bones of the right foot. Background history of resected pancreatic cancer and current presentation were consistent early diffuse disease recurrence of a pancreatic primary tumour. The presenting feature in this case was of symptomatic acrometastases, that is, metastases to the feet.
