Application of Vegetable Oil Based Machining Fluids in Green Manufacturing Processes, A Review
Cutting fluids are an inherent part of the modern manufacturing system. In the vegetable oil based cutting fluids, the
base fluids should be some vegetable oil. In general, vegetable oil is highly attractive substitutes for petroleum based oils
because they are environmentally friendly, renewable, less toxic and readily biodegradable. In this review paper, the author
investigates some of the published research papers on the application of vegetable oil based machining fluids (including
Nano-fluids) in the different machining processes like turning, milling, grinding and drilling. Besides that, this study also
summarize the effect of the different biodegradable oil based machining fluids on the performance factors such as surface
integrity, machining force, tool wear, power consumption, and temperature produced during the machining process. It
has been reported in various literature that using vegetable oil based Nano machining fluid results high surface features,
reduced tool wear, cutting force, power consumption and lower temperature rise in the machining process due to better
lubrication and cooling properties.
Determination of ABO Blood Grouping from Different Body Fluids (Saliva)
The ABO blood group typing is the primary serological technique to be performed after collecting the blood sample from the crime scene. Cases like murder, rape, hit and run has the crime scene where we can easily find blood stains. But in some cases criminals remove those stains in order to conceal the evidence.
Immunodepletion of Multiple High-Abundant Proteins from Bovine Fluids
Immunodepletion of high-abundant proteins (HAPs) aids in the identification and analysis of low-abundant proteins (LAPs) in complex
samples. Currently, immunodepletion methods for bovine samples are very limited whereas greater availability exists for human and
murine animal samples. In this study, we report the simultaneous depletion of HAPs from bovine samples using an immunoaffinity
depletion cartridge (the multiple affinity removal system, MARS) designed to target six human HAPs, while such a depletion kit for
bovine samples is not available.
Occupational Exposure to Blood and Bodily Fluids among Health Care Workers in a Medical Teaching Hospital
The objective of this study was to evaluate blood and bodily fluids exposure through needlestick injuries (NSI) and non-percutaneous incidents among healthcare workers (HCWs). This project utilized a dataset collected from J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, between January 1, 2014 and August 15, 2017. Data included de-identified codes of employees, occupations, types of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, routes of exposure, infectious disease exposures, and time incidents.
Simultaneous HPLC Assay of Paracetamol and Sulfapyridine as Markers for Estimating Gastrointestinal Transit of Amphotericin B-containing Nanoparticles in Rat Plasma
A simple and sensitive two-step reversed-phase HPLC method was developed and validated for determining amphotericin B, paracetamol and sulfapyridine in rat plasma using piroxicam as internal standard.
Croscarmellose Sodium Efficiency in the Development of a Generic Capsule Formulation of Piroxicam, Comparable Dissolution Profile to the Innovator Product, Feldene
The objective of this study was to evaluate the encapsulation performance of Croscarmellose sodium, a superdisintegrant in a low-dose, poor-solubility drug formulation and the in-vitro dissolution performance of the Piroxicam capsules. Preparation, characterization and evaluation of the effects of the different concentrations of carmellose sodium and the amount of dried starch on in-vitro dissolution of Piroxicam capsules. Piroxicam was chosen for its very low solubility in biological fluids, which result in poor systemic bioavailability after oral administration. Piroxicam can be categorized as Class II drugs according to the Biopharmaceutics Classification System.
Development of a Stability Indicating UPLC-MS/MS Method for Rapid and Reliable Determination of Fenofibrate in Marketed Product (Lypanthyl® 200M) and Human Plasma
A reliable, fast, sensitive and selective Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) method has been developed and validated for the determination of fenofibrate in marketed product (Lipanthyl) and human plasma. The chromatographic separation was performed on a reversed-phase Acquity®BEH C18 column (1.7 μm particle size, 50 mm x 2.1 mm ID) with an isocratic elution profile and mobile phase consisting of methanol and water (80:20, %, v/v). To achieve optimum chromatographic condition the influence of mobile phase composition and flow rate was investigated. The total chromatographic analysis time was as short as 2 min.
