Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is considered as the most common pediatric malignancy with 80% of frequency in children between 1 and 10 years old. Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis ( RA)is an autoimmune and inflammatory disease. It is characterized by arthrosynovitis with resultant joint destruction . So, an early clinical diagnosis along with simple serological tests like anti CCP antibodies, C –reactive protein ( CRP) and Rheumatoid factor (RF) play an important role .An attempt was made to study and compare these parameters in OPD and IPD RA patients in our hospital setup, VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital , New Delhi. Aims and Objectives: To study the role of RF , Anti-CCP antibodies and CRP in early detection and prognosis of Rheu- matoid arthritis. Materials and Methods: A Total of 440 samples were studied from January 2018 to December 2020 (3years). Correlation between Rheumatoid factor(RF) ,anti CCP antibodies and CRP in suspected RA patients from various departments like PMR , Orthopaedics , Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics was attempted. RF and CRP was performed using latex agglutination test and anti CCP antibody by ELISA. Results and Conclusion: Of 440 samples tested, all the factors were positive in 87 patients . Anti CCP and RF alone was seen in 32 patients. RF and CRP positive in 49 patients, RF alone in 22 patients. In 250 patients all the tests were negative. So, Anti CCP along with RF and CRP showed a better positive predictive value in patients of Rheumatoid arthritis. But positivity of these parameters even in patients who lack sign and symptoms also aids in better diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.

Para-testicular rhabdomyosarcoma (RPT) is a rare tumor of children and adolescents. The diagnosis is made by the anatomopathological study. The treatment must be multimodal and involves surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We report the case of a 19-year-old adolescent in our department for an embryonic-type para-testicular rhabdomyosarcoma. Our aim is to expose a rare and unknown case that may be life-threatening. We would like to emphasize on the fact that paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma need to be brought up in front of a tissular process expanding in the scrotum with normal testicules.

The Congenital Rubella Syndrome is a multisystemic disease and CNS involvement occurs in the form of microcephaly, mental/motor disabilities, leptomeningitis, encephalitis, vascular damage and retardation of myelination. We report a case of gross non-communicating hydrocephalus in a neonate of Congenital Rubella Syndrome which is a rare presentation.

Adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare endocrine tumour with poor prognosis. Herein we report a case of adrenocortical carcinoma which was non-functioning, and non-metastasizing. A female patient presented with vague abdominal pain and palpable lump on examination. A large sized adrenal mass on Ultrasonography (USG) and computed tomography was revealed. USG guided fine needle aspiration cytology was performed, the smears were highly suspicious of malignancy.

A prospective case-control study was undertaken to evaluate the association of inner segment-ellipsoid (ISel) band disruption with severity of diabetic retinopathy on spectral-domain optical coherence tomography. ISel disruption was graded as - grade 0: intact ISel; grade 1: focal disruption (subfoveal ISel disruption) and grade 2: global disruption (ISel disruption involving macular cube). Increased severity of diabetic retinopathy was found to be associated with increase in disruption of ISel (r = 0.49, p < 0.001).

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem granulomatous disease of unknown aetiology. It usually has a benign course, but those cases with multi system involvement have poorer prognosis. Sarcoidosis is an under diagnosed disease in India, probably due to the close resemblance to tuberculosis and the lack of awareness. But this disease is not so rare in India, as previously thought.
