The Impact of Seasonal Changes on Growth Performance, Rumen Fermentation, and Rumen Microbiota Structure of Yaks: An Analysis Using the Supplemented 2.5kg Concentrate Level as an Example
The study investigated the effects of supplementing the same level of concentrate in different seasons on the growth performance,
rumen fermentation, serum biochemical index, and rumen microflora changes in yaks, to provide guidance on accurate
feeding of yaks in cold and warm seasons. 12 healthy yaks weighing (124.21±15.64) kg were selected for the experiment,
with a warm season group from August to October and a Cold season supplemental feeding group from October to December.
The results showed that the mean daily gain was significantly higher in the warm season grazing group than in the cold
season grazing group (p<0.05). Rumen fermentation, serum biochemical index, and rumen microflora changes also varied
significantly between the two groups (p<0.05).

Central Obesity, Physical Activity, Basal Metabolism, and Body Composition in Adults: A Systematic Review
: Obesity is a global epidemic with serious consequences for countries.
Objective: This work aims to systematically review the available evidence on the relationship between basal metabolism (BM), body composition, and physical activity (PA) with central obesity.
Methodology: The search strategy was carried out using Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar, and SciELO following
the PRISMA guidelines. The STROBE checklist and the Jadad scale were also used for quality assessment.

Effects of Gabapentin Enacarbil on Cortical Arousals, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure and Anterior Tibialis EMG Responses Associated with PLMs in Restless Legs Syndrome
Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of gabapentin enacarbil (GEn) on sleep EEG, heart rate (HR), blood presssure, anterior tibialis EMG activity (PLMs power) and subjective complaints in subjects with moderate to severe RLS and disturbed sleep.
Methods: This was a single site, single-blind, placebo run-in, fixed dose single group polysomnography (PSG) study. Eligible subjects (age 24-66 years) were treated with placebo for one week and GEn (600 mg/day) for 4 weeks. Two in-laboratory PSGs were collected for adaptation and baseline at the end of the placebo run-in period and for re-adaptation and efficacy assessment at the end of the 4-week treatment period. The primary endpoint was the difference in PSG derived cortical arousal intensity (arousal scale, 0-9) associated with PLMs between 4 weeks of treatment with GEn and placebo. Secondary endpoints included changes in HR responses (ΔHR), nocturnal systolic blood pressure (SBP) changes (>10 mmHg) secondary to PLMs and PLMs power. Other PSG and subjective measures were assessed.
Results: Of 20 subjects enrolled, 18 completed the study. Subjects treated with GEn did not show significant improvements in cortical arousal intensity and ΔHR. However, subjects showed reduced PLMs power (p= 0.013) and associated reductions in nocturnal SBP per hour of sleep (p= 0.041) GEn showed significant improvement in other PSG parameters and subjective endpoints.
Conclusion: The data suggests that GEn reduces the frequency and power of PLMs and the corresponding SBP changes in subjects with RLS. Despite reducing the total number of PLM associated arousals and nocturnal HR, the study did not demonstrate consistent effects of GEn on cortical arousal intensity and corresponding HR changes associated with PLMs.

Development of Mathematical Model for Vibration Accelerated Wound Healing
Chronic wounds substantially reduce the quality of life for millions of people worldwide. As a result, researchers have developed various treatments and therapies to reduce the time for a wound to heal. Mathematical models that help better understand and predict the wound healing process have also been developed. This paper presents and validates a mathematical model known as the vibration enhanced wound healing model (VEWH) that includes the effects of vibration treatment in the wound healing process. The model is based on existing models of cutaneous wound healing but includes the effects of vibration on blood flow, macrophages, chemoattractant, and fibroblasts. These parameters were derived from published data on vibration accelerated wound healing of healthy mice. The VEWH model is confirmed with published experimental animal data that show vibration can reduce the wound healing time by 8%. The model reveals that vibration primarily affects healing through the mechanotransduction of vibration by fibroblasts into greater production of extracellular matrix. Model simulations agree with the validation data, with optimal healing predicted to occur with frequencies between 5 Hz and 25 Hz.
Soybean Lecithin-Based Extender Improves the Quality of Chilled Canine Sperm
Semen preservation technique includes chilling at 4-5 oC and cryopreservation at -196 oC. The role of extender enriched with protectant is essential for storing sperm. In order to evaluate the effects of different concentrations of soybean lecithin (SL) in Tris-based extender on quality parameters of chilled canine semen and subsequent potential. The Trisbased extenders with 0.5%, 1.0% or 2.0% SL (w/v) were used to store the sperm of French Bulldog; meanwhile, Tris-based extenders supplemented with 20.0% (v/v) egg yolk (EY) were used as the control group. Sperm samples in each group were stored at 4⁰C for 168 hours period.

However, foods that help to reduce serum uric acid levels and gout risk have recently been recognized: thus should be considered for their positive influence. Fabrication of Vertical Cu2ZnSnS4 Nanowire Arrays by Two-Step Electroplating Method into Anodic Aluminum Oxide Template
Vertical Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) nanowire arrays have been synthesized via two-step electroplating method into anodized aluminum oxide template. For deposition of CZTS nanowires, anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) was used as the growth mask for the growth of the nanowires. AAO templates with hole sizes of 70 nm in diameter were used in the experiments.
Fabrication and Luminescence of Anodic Alumina with Incorporated Vanadyl Citrate Chelate Anions
Anodic aluminum oxide doped with vanadyl citrate chelate complex anions was formed by a two-step self-organized anodization in 2 wt. % sulfuric acid containing 0.04 M V2O5 and 0.08 M citric acid at voltage range 13-23 V, and at 0 and 15 oC. The combination of two temperatures and at least four voltages (depending on the applied temperature) was applied as the operating conditions of anodization.
