A Selected Case of Achalasia Treated with Botulinum Toxin Case Presentation
There is presented intrasphincetric injection management of achalasia, an esophageal dysmotility disorder involving an abnormal relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter. Botulinum toxin A is a well-described treatment for achalasia, in patients who is contraindicated others modality due to comorbidity, especially in older age. We describe a case of a successful treatment of achalasia in the 83-old man with botulinum toxin A, as efficacy and very safe method for symptomatic relieve of these patients.
GMP-Compliant Production of a Fluorescent Antibody for in vivo Molecular Endoscopy in a Phase I/IIa Clinical Study in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients
Therapeutic response to anti-TNF antibody treatment in inflammatory bowel diseases is strongly influenced by transmembrane tumor necrosis factor (mTNF) expression in the intestinal mucosa. Fluorescent anti-TNF antibodies applied for in vivo molecular endoscopy have shown to be able to quantify mucosal mTNF expression in real-time and predict response to subsequent anti-TNF treatment in individual patients with Crohn’s.
Automated Polyp Detection System in Colonoscopy Using Deep Learning and Image Processing Techniques
Undetected colonic polyps are considered a major cause of interval cancer of the colon. The Automatic Polyp Detection
System (APDS) (Magentiq Eye LTD, Haifa, Israel) was developed to enhance the ability of endoscopists to detect polyps during screening colonoscopy. It is designed to be used both in real-time and offline. APDS runs directly on the video output of the endoscopic camera and highlights the polyp on the screen. APDS utilizes the power of Deep Learning and Computer Vision in order to improve polyp detection rates thus improving the performance of the endoscopist.

Productive Cough and Bilateral Ptosis
We present a case report of a patient with Mounier-Kuhn syndrome. The clinical, radiological and endoscopic illustrations contribute to the awareness and recognizability of this rare and under-diagnosed pulmonary syndrome. It is characterized by tracheobronchomegaly and tracheomalacia, leading to ineffective mucociliary clearance, recurrent respiratory infections and bronchiectasis. Computed tomography is the golden standard for diagnosis. Etiology remains unknown. Prognosis depends on adequate treatment and prevention of respiratory infections.
Jugular Foramen Schwannoma Revealed By Unilateral Deafness
Jugular foramen schwannomas arising from cranial nerves IX, X, and XI are uncommon pathological conditions, slowly growing benign tumors that constitute approximately 2.9 to 4% of all intracranial schwannomas. Jugular foramen schwannomas represent 10-30% of all tumors observed around the jugular foramen.
Clinical Characteristics of Metastatic Gastric Tumors: A Report of 8 Cases in a Single Hospital
Metastatic gastric tumors (MGTs) mean the tumor cells that attack the stomach and grow there through blood vessel, lymph vessel, and
other pathway, consistent with the primary tumor in phenotype, which are clinically uncommon, and information on MGTs is generally
limited to single case reports. Here we present a clinical series of 8 cases with MGTs, in attention to discuss the clinical characteristics,
diagnosis and treatment, and prognosis of MGTs.
Esophageal Cancer and Bisphosphonates
At the beginning of 2009, Dianne Wysowski of the US Food and Drug Administration summarized 23 reports of esophageal1 cancer following alendronate use. Wysowski also noted that there had been 31 cases following alendronate use in Europe and Japan and ten cases in which other bisphosphonates had been reported as concomitant or suspect treatment.
