The study investigated the effects of supplementing the same level of concentrate in different seasons on the growth performance, rumen fermentation, serum biochemical index, and rumen microflora changes in yaks, to provide guidance on accurate feeding of yaks in cold and warm seasons. 12 healthy yaks weighing (124.21±15.64) kg were selected for the experiment, with a warm season group from August to October and a Cold season supplemental feeding group from October to December. The results showed that the mean daily gain was significantly higher in the warm season grazing group than in the cold season grazing group (p<0.05). Rumen fermentation, serum biochemical index, and rumen microflora changes also varied significantly between the two groups (p<0.05).

Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) is an idiopathic inflammatory disease of the lung, characterized by an allergic inflammatory response to colonization of the airways by Aspergillus fumigatus or other fungi. Untreated or inadequatetreatment may lead to poor outcome in patients. Raised level of serum IgE of more than 1000 IU/ML have been considered as one if theimportant diagnostic criteria for ABPA, however relation of serum IgE withs severity ofdiseases is lacking. This research was performed to explore the impacts of guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) supplementation of fish diets with variable energy contents on the growth performance and blood serum parameters of Nile tilapia fish. Nile tilapia Juveniles with an average weight of 20 g were cultured in glass aquaria and fed four formulated pelleted diets for 60 days. Our experiment was divided into four experimental groups: the first group (G1) was fed a basic control diet without any GAA supplementation. The other experimental groups, G2, G3 and G4, were fed diets with different levels of energy (25, 50 and 75 kcal/kg less than in the control, respectively) and supplemented with 0.06% GAA.

β-lactam antibiotics represented the oldest class of antibiotics used in the treatment of infections in a human being, livestock, and aquaculture. Drugs residues in the edible tissues or foodstuffs of animal pose a potential threat to human health. At present, extensive antibiotic-resistant strains are now being detected and the development of antibiotic-resistant strains of epidemic and zoonotic pathogens is a major concern. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to estimate the extent of β-lactam antibiotics-HSA/BSA conjugations via three conjugation methods by using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet (UV) detector. We wish that the technique will be applied to preliminarily detect the residues of β-lactam antibiotics may persist in edible tissues or foodstuffs in the livestock and aquaculture farms in clinical.

Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the levels of serum 25(OH)D levels in patients to identify the average vitamin D levels, the incidence of insufficiency and deficiency amongst the patients reporting to a dental hospital in Mumbai. Methods: Serum 25(OH)D levels of 100 randomly selected patients who reported to Nair Hospital Dental College in Mumbai were assessed to evaluate the vitamin D status. Serum levels below 10 ng/mL were categorized as “deficiency “and between 29-11ng/mL were categorized as “insufficiency” of vitamin D.

Neonates with severe hyperbilirubinaemia are at increased risk for neurological morbidity. Risk factors for early onset hyperbilirubinaemia include prematurity, red cell haemolysis and birth trauma.
