Dr. Kornélia Tekes is currently working as a professor at department of pharmacodynamics, Semmelweis University. she completed her PhD at Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1990). She held several positions and received many awards in his career. She published 210 articles in various international journals.
Dr. Kornélia Tekes research is mainly focused on studies on N-demethylation reactions of drugs, studying the presynaptic regulation of biogenic amine neurotransmission (noradrenaline, dopamine, serotonin) in the CNS, studies on validity of depression models in rats, studying the serotonin neurotransmission in psychiatric disorders (major depression, panic disorder) and suicide, studying the serotonin neurotransmission in chronic hepatic diseases, studying the pathophysiology of orphaninFQ/nociceptin system, hormonal imprinting studies, HPLC-techniques for measurement of the metabolism of biogenic amines and method development for oxime-derivatives in biological samples.
