Biography

DR. Massimo Caputo graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Naples, Italy in 1992 and specialised in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery in 1998. He then worked as a cardiac surgeon at the "San Raffaele" University Hospital until the end of 1999. In 2000, he was appointed as Lecturer in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at the University of Bristol, with special interest in congenital heart disease. In the same year he obtained his higher degree "Master in Surgery" at the University of Bristol. After a fellowship in congenital heart surgery at the University of Leiden in Holland, he was appointed Senior Lecturer first and then Reader at the University of Bristol. In 2012, he obtain the Chair in Congenital Heart Surgery at the University of Bristol.
