Dr. Zong Jie Cui is presently working as a Professor in the Institute of Cell Biology at Beijing Normal University, China. He is also Founding Director for the Institute of Cell Biology at Beijing Normal University. He is also honored with Young Scientist Merrit Award, NSFC, 1998. He got a Special Stipend from The Chinese State Council, 1999. He is also an Editorial Board member in Prog Physiol Sci, Acta Biophys Sin, World J Gastroenterol and The Pancreapedia journals. He is also a Council member in association of Chinese Biophysical Society. He is also President in Chinese Commission for Photobiology (a section of The Chinese Biophysical Society). He also published his articles in various International publications.
His research interest includes Cytosolic calcium oscillations, Molecular basis of exocytosis, Singlet oxygen as a signaling molecule, Modulation of synaptic transmission by toosendanin, Contact regulation between neighbouring cell types.
