Dr. Mahmoud YM Taha (BVMS, MSc, Ph.D., Ml.Biol, DcPath is a graduate of Baghdad Vet. Medical college 1979. Then he obtained MSc degree in Virology. After that, he trained on Diagnostic virology in Rasheed Military Hospital. In 1984 he became a member of the scientific staff of Dental College, Mosul University. In 1990 he obtained his Ph.D. degree in virology from Glasgow University and appointed as Dean Assistant for scientific research in Dental College, then appointed as Head Department of Dental Basic Science and Director of the Diagnostic lab in the Dental Hospital, Mosul University. He has published more than 50 papers and supervised MSc and Ph.D. students in the field of virology and oral microbiology. Prof. Taha is a member of Editorial Board of many journals in virology and Dental Sciences. Prof. Taha has published many books in the field of Oral Microbiology and Virology.
Research: Dr. Mahmoud YM Taha research interests include Human herpesviruses specially HSV-1, EBV, CMV and their relations to periodontitis, periapical lesions, and aphthous stomatitis as well as the role of interleukins in Different oral Diseases

Dr. Shahzad Shaukat is serving as a Molecular Biologist in WHO RRL for PEI, Department of Virology, National Institute of Health, Islamabad, Pakistan. He received his doctorate degree in biotechnology from Quaid-e-Azam University, Pakistan. He has several publications in the field of picornaviruses, hepatitis, Crimean–Congo hemorrhagic fever virus, Dengue virus, influenza and human genetics that have been published in reputable peer-reviewed journals. His main interests include Virology, Infectious Diseases, Public Health and Epidemiology.

Dr. Muhammad Akram presently working as an assistant professor from Government College University Faisalabad. He has done his Ph.D. from Hamdard University Karachi-Pakistan in 2013. He had experience as a Chairman in the Department of Eastern Medicine and Surgery, University of Poonch, Rawalakot Azad Kashmir from 2015-2017. Dr. Muhammad Akram received a Best abstract award for the paper entitled “Effects of medicinal plants on Alzheimer’s disease and memory deficit’’ in International Neural Regeneration Symposium 2016, Yinchuan, China. He is a member of professional bodies like National Council for Tibb, Pakistan Association for Eastern Medicine and many. He attended many National and International conferences. He had membership in Editorial Boards. He published numerous articles in scientific journals.
Research: Dr. Muhammad Akram research interest includes Hyperuricemia, Xanthine oxidase inhibition by some selected medicinal plants, Enzyme Inhibition, Study of traditional system medicine (Indusyunic Medicine) Phytochemistry, and poisonous plants. Bioactivity and phytopharmaceutical evaluation of herb drugs and their natural products, Medicinal plants and Clinical trial, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics.
