Prof. Farnad Imani is currently Chair of Pain Research Center and Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine in Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), with twenty two years' experience in academic postgraduate teaching in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is founder of academic pain fellowship in Iran at 2006. His research interest includes chronic and acute pain managements, and has a special interest in the percutaneous, endoscopic, and minimal invasive procedures for spinal pain. He also serves as an Editorial member for various international journals

Dr. John F. Bebawy, Currently working as an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology & Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University.  He did his Doctor of Medicine Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University, Chicago in 2003. Dr. Bebawy completed his Anesthesiology residency and Neurosurgical Anesthesiology fellowship training at Northwestern in 2008, where he is currently working as a faculty and Program Director of the Neurosurgical Anesthesiology Fellowship Program. He is a member of many national and international societies for the advancement of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology, has published the articles on various topics and has spoken at many meetings throughout the world on areas within his expertise. He also serves as an editorial member for various international journals. Dr. Bebawy is devoted and committed to the betterment of patient safety through individualized and compassionate clinical care, as well as through his contribution to the scientific community.

Dr. Alex Bekker is Professor and Chairman of Anesthesiology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He obtained his Doctoral Degree in Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and received his Medical Degree from the Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. He completed his anesthesia training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Dr. Bekker has joined the Department of Anesthesiology at the NYU Medical Center in1995 and was appointed a Vice-Chair for Research in 2005. Dr. Bekker is an internationally recognized expert in neuro anesthesia and is frequently invited to speak at Grand Rounds and Scientific Panels. Dr. Bekker has been active in research and for many years. He is an author of 81 peer-reviewed publications including publications in Anesthesiology, Pain, Nature Neuroscience, Anesthesia & Analgesia, and JAMA, 6 US patents, 39 educational reviews and more than 100 abstracts. His work has focused on perioperative brain protection, postoperative cognitive dysfunction, brain function monitoring, neuroinflammation, and postoperative pain control. Dr. Bekker was a PI of numerous clinical trials, including studies sponsored by the National Institute of Aging. He serves on the editorial board of five peer-reviewed journals and is ad hoc reviewer for 15 peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Rebecca Cogwell Anderson is presently working as Professor in the department of Anesthesiology at Medical College of Wisconsin, United States. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology at Marquette University, Wisconsin. She has achieved many honors and awards during her career and is a member of many professional organizations. She has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals.

Research: Dr. Rebecca Cogwell Anderson’s major research interests are pain management, patient care and behavioral medicine.

Dr. Dell R. Burkey is presently working as Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Critical Care at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, United States. He completed his Postgraduate Training at Temple University Hospital, US. He received many honors and awards during his career and has Memberships in Professional and Scientific Societies. He has authored book chapters, reviews, Editorials and articles.

Research: Dr. Dell R. Burkey’s research interest includes Pain management, Drugs for Pain and Acupuncture anesthesia.

Dr. Spencer Yost is chief of Anesthesia at UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion and medical director of the six-bed Intensive Care Unit at the Mount Zion hospital. Yost earned a medical degree at UCSF and completed an anesthesia residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, an affiliate of the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at Presbyterian Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Yost is a professor and vice chair of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at UCSF.

Research: Dr. Spencer Yost's research interests include Pain medicine, Anesthesiology, Critical care and General anesthesiology.

Dr. Uday Jain worked as a Professor and Chief in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Oklahoma, United States. He has over three decades of experience in the field of Anesthesiology.  Presently, he works at Alameda Health System, Oakland, CA. He trained numerous clinical and research fellows and residents. He is certified in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. He also has extensive experience in much of anesthesia including cardiac, trauma, neurosurgical, obstetric, and ambulatory anesthesia, and intensive care. He is a member in many international professional societies. He is editorial consultant for many International Journals. He is Vice-President (former founding secretary) of Trauma Anesthesiology Society. He has presented invited lectures at more than 60 International conferences. He has more than 50 papers, more than 50 abstracts in journals and more than 25 abstracts at conferences. He had published more than 20 book chapters.

Dr. Charles Scott Brudney is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine, Critical Care and Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center, United States.  He has been an active faculty member at Duke for the last ten years and works in the Department of Anesthesiology as an intensivist, as well as an anesthesiologist. He is also a part of the Department of Medicine where he works as an intensivist in the Duke Raleigh Hospital ICU. He is also working as Medical Director on the Surgical ICU at the VA in Durham, as well as the Medical Director for the Critical Care Department at Duke Raleigh Hospital. His training was initially in Cardiff, Wales, followed by a medicine residency in Stoke Mandeville Hospital and an anesthesia/ICU residency at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His postgraduate qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists FRCA of the United Kingdom and Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine FFICM of the UK. He is also a member many International Societies. He has been invited for many National and International Lectures. 

Dr. Patricia L. Dalby is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Pittsburgh, United States. She almost has 27 years of experience in the field of Anesthesia. She also holds a Certification and Licensure from the American Board of Anesthesiology Recertification in 2009. He also has a membership in many International societies. Recently she has been honored with University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Award: Anesthesia Clerkship Preceptor of the Year Award 2013. She has delivered many abstracts and presentations in many International Conference meetings. She has published more than 20 publications and 18 book chapters under her name.

Research: Her research interest includes Obstetrical Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Obstetrical Perinatal and Anesthesia Safety and Communication.

Dr. Lauren Berkow is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Division of Neuroanesthesia and in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, United States. She almost has 14 years of experience in the field of Anesthesia. She is a committee member in Johns Hopkins CME as Advisory Board and also a committee member in many more communities. She also has vast experience in Patient Safety/Performance Improvement Initiatives. She is also works as a Director of Anesthesia Supplies and Equipment. She is also a committee member in Maryland Hospitals for a Healthy Environment, Teleflex Medical Advisory Board, Masimo Consumer Advisory Board, Covidien Consumer Advisory Board. She is also a member is many International Associations. She is also a member of ASA Neuro track committee, Director and organizer of airway workshops for Johns Hopkins Perioperative Management Conference. She has been honored with Johns Hopkins Anesthesiology Residency Leadership Award. She is also invited as the Physician representative on the Sustainability Leadership Council for Johns Hopkins Health System.

Dr. Vilma E. Oritz is presently working as an Associate Anesthetist in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care & Pain Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, United States, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. She almost has 19 years of experience in the field of Anesthesia. She also worked as Director of Bariatric Anesthesia at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She is currently the Scientific Program Director for the Second Latin American Symposium on Obstetric Anesthesia in the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP). Her clinical interests involve patient safety, bariatric anesthesia and obstetric anesthesia. She participated as an expert in the Betsey Lehman Weight Loss Task Force on Anesthesia, Perioperative Care and Pain Management. In 2013 she was honored as a nominee for the Harold Amos Faculty Diversity Award by Harvard Medical School for her Contribution to making HMS/HSDM a diverse and inclusive community.

Research: Her research interest includes Bariatric anesthesia, Obstetric anesthesia, Anesthesia for general surgery.

Dr. Ramprasad Sripada is presently working as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesia at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, United States. He almost has 19 years of experience in the field of Anesthesia. He is also working as Medical Director in Acute Pain and Regional Service and Director in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Fellowship Program. He is also working as Clinical Teaching Supervision of anesthesia residents and fellows, medical students, and student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNA’s) at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Recently he has been certified with VU IRB Human Subjects Protections Training Program, VU Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Certification) by The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, United States and also honored with First Prize “PERIOPERATIVE INJURIES RELATED TO INTRAVENOUS CATHETERS.” Nidhi Sheokand, MBBS, Ramprasad Sripada, MD, by Midwest Anesthesiology Residents Conference (MARC) in Chicago, United States.

Research: His research interests include Acute pain management in chronic opioid patients. Ultrasound guided regional blocks. Outcomes research in acute pain and regional anesthesia. Perioperative TEE for hemodynamic monitoring during complex surgeries in prone position. Transesophageal Echocardiography: Tele-echocardiographic monitoring.

Dr. John B. Sampson is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, United States. He is also certified with American Board of Anesthesiology-certified in both anesthesiology and critical care medicine. He also serves as the director of anesthesia for the Johns Hopkins Global Surgical Initiative’s Collaborative for Surgery, Obstetrics, Anesthesiology and Public Health. He is also executive director of the Johns Hopkins Austere Anesthesia Health Outcomes Research Group. He is also committed to improving perioperative care and raising awareness of health care problems in Africa among medical partners. He is also the founder and president of Doctors for United Medical Missions (DrUMM), he has taught and practiced medicine in eight countries outside of the U.S. Through his work with DrUMM and Pro-Health International, Dr. Sampson has been instrumental in leading and organizing the many American volunteers in Africa who have touched the lives of Africans in need of medical care. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco Medical School. He completed anesthesiology residencies at Howard University Hospital and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He also performed a critical care medicine fellowship at Florida’s Mayo Clinic Hospital.

Research: His research related to anesthesia machines, mechanical ventilators, simulation, cerebrovascular reactivity and patient-physician communication.

Dr. Rose Berkun is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at State University of New York at Buffalo, United States. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Anesthesiology. Dr. Berkun is a Program Director for the Annual Comprehensive Regional Anesthesia Workshop at the State University of New York at Buffalo, a cadaver based, hands-on, program that teaches the latest in regional anesthesia skills, www.buffaloregioal.com. Dr. Berkun is the owner of Northeast Ambulatory Anesthesia, PLLC, a company that provides office based anesthesia services throughout Western New York. She is a Director of Anesthesia Services at Aesthetic Associates Center in Amherst, NY, as well as a Medical Director of Anesthesia Services at Dent Neurologic Institute in Hamburg, NY. Dr. Berkun is a Vice President of the New York State Society of Anesthesiology. She has several positions in other medical organizations, including American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists and Medical Society of New York State.  

Dr. Michael Frass is presently working as a Professor of Medicine and also specialist in Internal Medicine in Homeopathy at University of Vienna, Austria. He has vast experience ion Airway Management. He is also working as Head, Outpatient Department: Homeopathy in malignant Diseases, Division of Clinical Oncology. He also holds a membership in many International Societies. His research interests are Evaluation of effectiveness of ventilation with a new airway for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Airway Management, Universitary research of homeopathy. He has almost 135 literatures, 3 patents filed and 23 citations in his name.

Dr. Sebastiano Mercadante is presently working as a Director of Anesthesia & Intensive Care and Pain relief & Supportive Care Unit in La Maddalena Cancer Center Palermo at University of Palermo, Italy. He is also working as Professor of Palliative medicine, Post-graduate Master, University of Palermo, Italy. He is also Scientific Director SAMO onlus, regional home care program. He had completed Doctor's degree in Medicine & Surgery at University of Palermo. He did specialization in Anesthesiology and in Science of Nutrition at University of Palermo.  He has more than 400 hundred lectures at national and international congresses. He is also serving as Associated Editor, editorial Board and/or referee of more than 30 international peer-reviewed journals in the field of pain and symptom management, and anesthesiology. He has More than 400 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and is author of more than 40 chapters and books under his name. He is also a member in many International Scientific Committees. He won the Award Umberto Veronesi 2003, the Award of excellence in scientific research, by AAHPM (Boston 2011), and John Mendelson MD Award (2013). He also had one patent Patent for “new delivery system for analgesics” in his name.

Dr. Marco Caruselli is presently working in the Department of Pediatric Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit at La Timone Children’s Hospital, France. He also worked as Professor of Pediatric Intensive Care in the Doctoral School of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona and also worked as Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona Nurse Courses, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing thesis. He has 65 scientific papers published from 1992, including conference papers, books prepared for specialized courses, scientific publications on national and international specialistic journals. He was a speaker, teacher and tutor in 54 lessons, lectures, conferences, courses and masters. He was a speaker, teacher and tutor in 54 lessons, lectures, conferences, courses and masters. He is a founding member of SIAATIP (Italian Society of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Pediatric Intensive Care), SUA (Society of ultrasound anesthesia). Dr. Somchai Amornyotin currently is professor of Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand in 1996. Until 2004 he became the associate professor of the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. From 2005 until 2009 he was the chief of Anesthesiology Division of Siriraj GI Endoscopy Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. His first scientific paper was published in Thailand in 1999. He has practiced anesthesia for gastrointestinal endoscopy since 2002. He was the committee of Siriraj GI Endoscopy Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in 2005. More than 50 of his articles have been published in Thai and international medical journals. Dr. Amornyotin is a member of the Royal College of Anesthesiologists of Thailand, the Gastroenterological Association of Thailand and many scientific societies. He is the reviewer and editor of many international journals.

Dr. Osama Ali Mohamed Ibraheim is presently working as a Professor in Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, College of Medicine at Assiut University, Egypt. He has almost 24 years of experience in different fields of Anesthesia. He had undergone different types of Anesthesia during Residency period. His working experience is surgical intensive care, hepatobiliary anesthesia and resuscitation, Ultrasound guided regional anesthesia techniques, Anesthesia for Spinal surgeries and different orthopedics. He had more than 20 research publications in his name. He is also obtained Anesthetics Registration in 1988 and also obtained Consultant in Anesthetics Registration in Saudi Arabia. 

Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu is presently working as Professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care at Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam. He is also Vice President in the Hanoi Medical University. He is also a Member of Council of the Primary Trauma Care Foundation (PTC) in London, UK. He is also Chairman to the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, Hanoi Medical University. He is also a Member in National Committee of Trauma Emergency Guidelines in 2008 and also Member of executive committee of Vietnam Society of Anesthesiologists. He obtained PhD of Medicine in Hanoi Medical University (2000-2003) and became an Associate Professor of Hanoi Medical University in 2007. He is author and co-author of 106 scientific publications published in the local and international journals including Anesthesiology, Anesthesia & Analgesia journals.

Research: His research interest includes trauma anesthesia and resuscitation, regional anesthesia, postoperative pain management, airway complications during anesthesia and pharmacology of neuromuscular relaxants.

Dr. Zahid Akhtar Rao is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain and Intensive care at Bahria University Medical & Dental College, and Director Intensive Care Unit Pakistan Naval Ship (PNS) “Shifa” Hospital Karachi; Pakistan. He has 30 years’ experience in the field of Anesthesia, Pain and Intensive care. He is a life time member of Pakistan Society of Anesthesiologists (PSA). He remained very vibrant general secretary of anesthesia society. He is also member of executive committee of PSA and member of Pakistan Society of Critical Care Medicine and Society for treatment and study of pain; Pakistan. He is associate editor of international journal “Anaesthesia, pain and intensive care”. He is a reviewer of many journals in Pakistan. He has organized many international conferences in Pakistan and conducted many workshops in field of anesthesia, pain and intensive care. He is a faculty member, supervisor and examiner of college of physicians and surgeons, Pakistan (CPSP). He has many publications on his credit and presented papers in many international conferences and attended more than fifty conferences, symposia and workshops.

Research: His research interest is in Obstetric Anesthesia, Pain and Intensive care.

Dr. Ehab Samir Aziz Farag is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of General Anesthesiology at CCLCM, USA and Outcomes Research at Cleveland Clinic's main campus. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He received his medical degree from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt and completed graduate school, including a master’s of anesthesia and critical care degree at Ain Shams University and a Royal College of Anesthetists fellowship, United Kingdom. He completed his internship and residency training in the Department of General Anesthesia at Cleveland Clinic, as well as fellowship training in neuroanesthesia at Toronto University Hospital, Toronto, Canada, and Cleveland Clinic. He is also a member of professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Neurosurgical Anesthesia and Critical Care and International Anesthesia Research Society. He has been honored with several research awards.

Research: His research interests include general anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, regional anesthesia and research.  

Dr. James G. Cain is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, United States. He is also a Director, Perioperative Medical Services at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He is also certified from American Board of Anesthesiology in 2013. He also has membership in many Professional and Scientific Societies. Recently, he has been honored with Selected for Physician Leadership Academy The Advisory Board Company and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Research: His research interest includes Pediatric Anesthesiology, Dexmedetomidine, Medical Economics.

Dr. Joseph Pergolizzi currently working as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Previously he worked as Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He is a member of many professional associations. He has been awarded the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award with Commendation and is a member of the Who’s Who for International Executives. He has served as a member of advisory boards and medical/scientific societies, and has acted on a number of institutional committees including the Medical Errors Committee and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He is the author of over 150 peer reviewed articles, abstracts, platform presentations, and book chapters in his areas of interest and expertise.

Research: Dr. Pergolizzi has explored genetic differences in drug metabolism that can result in clinically relevant pharmacokinetic drug-drug interactions for analgesic products and their impact on healthcare economics and outcomes. He is also interested in policy issues related to the safe and appropriate use of opioid analgesics and the physiochemistry necessary to create important abuse-deterrent products. He is also interested in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and has helped to develop a novel natural/synthetic analgesic product, OxyRub™, in addition to bringing scientific expertise in the evaluation of other CAM and natural products.
