He is currently an associate professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Florida International University. His research interests and expertise include real-time systems, embedded system design, power-/thermal-aware computing, advanced computer architecture and reconfigurable computing.

Dr. Boxun Hu received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Connecticut in 2012. Following graduation, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the UConn Center for Clean Energy Engineering until being promoted to Assistant Research Professor in 2016. Dr. Hu has published over 50 peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, patents, and conference proceedings. His current research interests include the development of novel energy materials and processes, energy storage and conversion, distributed electricity generation, hydrogen production by electrolysis, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, (electro)catalysis, CO2 utilization, and methane conversion.

Jiazhen Ling

Dr. Jiazhen Ling received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2011. Following graduation, he was a Faculty Research Associate in CEEE until being promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2015. Dr. Ling's dissertation focused on the study of separate sensible and latent cooling systems and the design of a radiative heat exchanger. He is a member of both ASHRAE and AEE and is an EPA certified Universal technician. Dr. Ling has published over 40 peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, one book chapter and three patents.

Dr. Shuhui Li received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 1983 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, USA, in 1999.  He was with the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, from 1988 to 1995, where his fields of research interest included electrified railways, power electronics, power systems, and power system harmonics. From 1995 to 1999, he was engaged in research on wind power, artificial neural networks, and applications of massive parallel processing. He joined Texas A&M University, Kingsville, TX, USA, as an Assistant Professor, in 1999, and an Associate Professor in 2003. He joined the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA, as an Associate Professor, in 2006. His current research interests include renewable energy resources and systems, distributed generation, power electronics, power systems, electric machines and drives, and applications of artificial neural networks in energy systems.

Dr. Gopal Nath Tiwari is presently working as Professor in the Centre for Energy Studies at SRM University, India. He has received his postgraduate and doctoral degrees in 1972 and 1976, respectively, from Banaras Hindu University, India. He is the recipient of National Hari Om Ashram Prerit S S Bhatnagar Award in 1982 for his seminal contribution in the field of solar distillation. He had been to the University of Papua, New Guinea in 1987-1989 as Energy and Environment Expert. He is responsible for the development of “Solar Energy Park” at IIT Delhi and Energy Laboratory at University of Papua, New Guinea, Port Moresby. He has successfully co-coordinated various research projects on solar distillation, solar water heating system, Greenhouse technology; hybrid photovoltaic thermal (HPVT) and Building integrated photovoltaic thermal (BiPVT) system etc. He has guided about 80 PhD students and published more than 600 research papers in International journals.

Dr. Fatemeh Baghbani received her BSc, MSc and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering-Biomaterials from the Amirkabir University of Technology-Iran in 2010, 2012 and 2017. Fatemeh has the expertise in “Controlled Drug Delivery” and “Tissue Engineering”, which helped her to gain valuable experiences in the field of nanoscience (Self-assembled nanoparticles, Polymeric nanoparticles, Lipic nanoparticles, Liposomes, Niosomes), Biopolymers, Hydrogel, Composites, stimuliresponsive drug carriers, smart polymers, bioceramics, cancer-therapy and regenerative medicine. In 2014 and 2015, Fatemeh received the Nanotechnology Prize from Iranian Nanotechnology Initiative council and Ph.D. research Grant Award from Iranian Science, Research, and Technology organization for her exceptional works on ultrasound-responsive nanodroplets for image-guided nanotherapy of breast cancer. Fatemeh has great publication track records in engineering and biological science with 15 ISI papers, six international conference papers (h-index four with 40 citations).

Dr. V. Ashok Kumar is a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist in Department of Aeronautics at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He has 10 years of research experience in microalgae large-scale cultivation for biofuels and high value-added bioproducts. During these years I have extensively worked on 1.Botryococcus sp., chlorella, Nanochloropsis Tetraselmis sp. Scenedesmus sp., etc., for a biorefinery in producing biofuels, EPA, and wastewater treatment technology 2. Dunaliella sp., Haematococcus sp., Spirulina sp., for high value-added bio-products ( β-carotene, Astaxanthin, and phycocyanin etc. He has experience in the cultivation of the above-mentioned microalgae in the low-cost Open raceway pond (500 m2 i.e, 100,000 Liter capacity pond and Vertical tubular photobioreactor (VT-PBR) which designed using polyethylene plastic. Also, worked in a closed system using Biocoils – a novel mathematically designed helical photobioreactors. In addition, he has teaching experience and handled Life Sciences/environmental and energy subjects for undergraduate and postgraduates students. And co-supervised for many Ph.D. research students.

Dr. Shek Md Atiqure Rahman obtained his Ph.D. and M. Eng degree in 2009 and 2003 respectively, in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS). During his M.Eng and Ph.D. research project, he carried out extensive experimental and numerical studies on the hydrodynamics and heat and mass transfer processes involved in the Solar assisted heat pump and Atmospheric freeze drying systems. He has been actively engaged in research activities ever since he commenced his academic career. He has published books, book chapters and a number of refereed journal and peer-reviewed conference papers. His main research area on the Solar thermal system, Drying, Heat and mass transfer, CFD, and Renewable Energy. He has seven years’ experience on the academic profession in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Bangladesh, National University of Singapore (NUS), Monash University Sunway Campus and currently serving as an Assistant Professor in University of Sharjah.
