Dr. Battal is currently working as Associate Professor at the Department of Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mersin University, Turkey. She received B.S degree in chemical engineering from Hacettepe University; M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Forensic Toxicology from Cukurova University. She studied as a postdoctoral researcher in National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Chemistry and Drug Metabolism Section, National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA (2013-2014). Dr. Battal has worked in several projects that are supported by The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey, Cukurova University and Mersin University, as principal investigator and in several projects, as investigator. She has also extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Dr. Battal has international peer-reviewed articles and she serves on as editor and reviewer for national and international journals.
