Dr. Sima Shahabi is a Professor and Head of the Department of Dental Biomaterials at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. She earned her D.D.S. from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and Ph.D. in Dental Materials from the University of Queensland, Australia. She also completed a Fellowship in Laser Dentistry at the University of Genoa, Italy. Her research focuses on dental biomaterials and laser applications in dentistry. Dr. Shahabi serves as Head of the Laser Research Centre of Dentistry and is a member of ISO-TC106 and the Iranian Dental Biomaterials Association. She is also an editorial board member of several international dental journals.
