Dr. Aykut Tonk is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Field Crops from University of Ege. She recevied her Ph.D in Plant Breeding and Genetic Sciences from Ege University in 2007, M.S. in Plant Breeding and Genetic Sciences from Ege University in 2002 and B.S. in the Department of Field Crops at the University of Ege in 1998. She is an editoral board member of Turkish Journal of Field Crops, Annual Research and Review in Biology, Plant Cell Biotechnology and Molecular Biology.
Her research interests include the development and breeding of new varieties in wheat, identification of plant genetic diversity in different plants, molecular markers, molecular mapping and QTL studies on disease and pest resistance in wheat.
