Several scientists called for a new paradigm in animal nutrition by implementing feed diversity in otherwise homogeneously fed livestock production systems as former was shown to have a notable impact on animal productivity and health and the ecological footprint thereby decrease concerns regarding global food security from a societal perspective. However, there are no specific definitions and no threshold values available, so far, for desired grazed grassland feed diversity levels on pastures that enable envisaged sustainable ruminant livestock production and possibly the production of animal products with particular human health-values. Therefore, we conceptualize grazed grassland feed diversity in multiple layers for the very first time in this review to define its relevance from an animal perspective and implications for human health. The data reviewed reveals a close relationship between grazed grassland feed diversity with regard to plant secondary metabolites and animal characteristics that include animal health, welfare, and behavior as well as product quality with possible human health value.

Atopic dermatitis is a common chronic disease in children. One of its possible exacerbating factors is covid-19 infection. We present the case of a patient with exacerbation of his atopic dermatitis due to COVID-19 infection.

This study was conducted in South West Shewa zone, to identify breeding practices in Tole and Becho districts. Data were collected through questionnaire and, focal group discussion. A total of 180 households were selected for interview. Data collected via questionnaire were summarized with descriptive statistics and analyzed using SPSS, V.21. Chi–square test was employed for categorical data. Indices were calculated to provide ranking. The primary reason of keeping goat in the study area was cash income and meat in both districts. The most sources of breeding buck in the area were their own flock.

A total of 2090 cases of acute myocardial infarction and 63 cases of acute myocardial infarction combined with ventricular septal perforation were collected from Fuwai Huazhong Cardiovascular Hospital from September 2017 to January 2021. 189 cases of type 1 acute myocardial infarction were randomly selected according to the ratio of 1:3 as a control group, the patients collected and analyzed clinical data, the risk factors of AMI and VSR.

Erdhein-chester disease is a rare non-Langerhans histocytes that can involve multiple systems, with bone involvement as the most common. We reports a 39-year-old female who visited the hospital due to pain in both lower limbs, combined with clinical manifestations, imaging, and laboratory tests, Erdhein-Chester disease was prelimi narily diagnosed. The diagnosis was confirmed by the presence of BRAF V600E mutation and tissue cells on biopsy of the right tibia. We discussed the disease based on literature review, aiming to improve the understanding of clinicians.

Blastomycosis is known for its propensity to mimic other illnesses, which often leads to incorrect or delayed treatment. Here we present a case report of a patient working in Wisconsin who was misdiagnosed as Tuberculosis since he was an Indian. The patient was not evaluated on endemic grounds for Blastomyces where he was working for couple of years. After he developed skin lesions along with increased shortness of breath, lesions were evaluated which showed large yeast cells resembling Blastomyces. The treating pulmonologist evaluated his occupational history and was revealed with endemicity for Blastomyces.

WHO reports a high global prevalence of overweight and, which is prevalent among nurses and results in poorer health, work productivity and patient care. Existing studies have established the relationships between multiple demographic and work-related factors and overweight and obesity, but no review investigated which factors are associated with overweight and obesity in nurses.

Therapeutic Hypothermia has been evolving as a science in itself since a very long time. There have been many accidents chronicled wherein people were buried alive in snow or under ice in frigid waters, left scientifically dead without any signs of heartbeat and breathing, only to be revived many hours later. The most notable case being that of Anna Bagenholm from Sweden.

The aim of this research was to assess the biochar ability to protect the photosynthesis process face to Cd contamination, especially, when nitrogen fertilizer was added at adequate amount. Culture of tomato seedlings was conducted on pots containing soil added with different portion of biochar (0, 3.5 and 7%) and nitrogen (3 or 6g NH4NO3). Irrigation was done by water (control condition) or Cd solution (150µM). Data showed that regardless presence of Cd, synchronously addition of high nitrogen fertilizer (6g) and biochar (7%) in the culture medium resulted in fresh matter production, photosynthetic pigment (Chlorophyll a) and mineral elements content enhancement. Similar observation was shown concerning the mineral nutrition (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium contents).

In spite of recommendation for antiplatelet therapy following drug eluting stent (DES) implantation, the prescription for antiplatelet therapy in real world clinical practice varies from centre to centre as per physician discretion. The study was intended to assess the cardiovascular outcomes and bleeding complications of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) beyond 12 months following DES implantation.

Desirable treatment options for inoperable esophageal cancer considering not only overall survival (OS) but also quality of life (QOL) during the entire clinical course remain unclear. We evaluated OS and QOL during the clinical course of patients with inoperable esophageal cancer undergoing chemoradiation or radiation. Forty-four patients with inoperable esophageal cancer between 2015 and 2020 were included in this retrospective study.

Cheques serve to be the most valuable evidence that can provide a lot of crucial information and therefore acts as a forensic tool. Cheques from different banks can be distinguished with the help of certain features present in them such as bank logo, watermarks, design and pattern of cheque, etc. Every cheque was different from each other with respect to the features like position and number of watermarks, fluorescence, voids pattern, micro lettering, size and dimensions of the cheques. Security features are the vital line of defence against cheque fraud.

Cryptococcosis caused by Cryptococcus gattii differs from that due to C. neoformans by an increased incidence of cryptococcomas in lung and brain, higher neurological morbidity and slower response to antifungal therapy. A case report of a renal transplant recipient with disseminated and fatal cryptoccocosis is presented. For this patient and for 12 controls, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid levels of IL-10, TNF-α, IL-12p40, CXCL-8 and CXCL-10 were measured. Broth microdilution assay, in accordance with CLSI-M27-A3 document was performed to determine antifungal susceptibility. BAL yielded yeasts when cultured that were identified as C. deuterogattii through biochemical reactions and URA5-RFLP genotype. The strain presented susceptibility to amphotericin B, itraconazole, voriconazole, fluconazole, and ketoconazole. The patient presented significant higher levels of IL-10 (73.22 pg/mL), IFN-γ (257.08 pg/mL), CXCL-8 (161.93 pg/ml) and CXCL-10 (1000.76 pg/mL) than controls. Different from C neoformans, scarce data are available about the immune response in patients with C. deuterogattii infection, especially cytokine profile on BAL.

Benign gastrobronchial fistula (GBF) is extremely rare but highly fatal complication of esophagectomy for upper gastrointestinal system cancers. We present a benign GBF after three years esophagectomy for esophageal cancer with presenting recurrent pneumonia. We choose wedge bronchoplasty without lobectomy and primary repair of gastric conduit as an approach.
