Dr. Armin Fashi is a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2016 from University of Zanjan (Iran) under the supervision of Prof. M.R.Yaftian, and then joined Dr. A. A. Zamani’s team at Department of Environmental Science. He was involved in the development of the various microextraction methods including electromembrane extraction and solvent bar microextraction techniques combined with HPLC, GC, AAS. His research works focused mainly on Environmental and Biological aspects of Analytical Chemistry in the monitoring of trace amounts of heavy metal ions, drugs.

Dr. Sayed M. Hassan has completed his PhD at the age of 31 years from University of Cairo, Egypt and postdoctoral studies in instrumental analysis from Strathclyde and Bradford Universities, United Kingdom. Dr. Hassan was a Professor and Head of Analytical Chemistry Department at University of Mansura, Egypt. In 1988 he was Principal Research Chemist under contract for the US EPA in analytical method development. In 1996, Dr. Hassan joined the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia to help establish the Lab for Environmental Analysis. The lab funds were provided by Georgia Research Alliance to promote cooperative research and development efforts between state universities and private industry besides teaching courses of instrumental analysis to graduate and undergraduate students. Currently, Dr. Hassan is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Applied Isotope Studies, University of Georgia and director of the Lab for Environmental Analysis,. He has published about 90 research articles in reputed academic and professional journals.
