Biography

Dr. Mohamed Awad is an associate professor and consultant, Fixed Prosthodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University, Egypt and King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. His work was concentrated on Fixed Prosthodontics researches. Dr. Awad is the president of Egyptian Association of Dental research section of international association for dental research since July 2010. He was head of Fixed prosthodontics Department in King Abdulaziz University from Sept. 2003 for one year. Also he was course director for fixed prosthodontics for preclinical and clinical courses for several years. He is supervising and teaching postgraduate Saudi Board in Advanced Restorative Dentistry (SBARD) since year 2000.

Dr. Awad published many research articles in ISI and International Journals. Also he presented researches in several international conferences including: Miami, San Diego, Seattle (USA), Singapore, Manchester & Bristol (England), Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah (Saudi Arabia), Dubai (UAE) and Egypt.

Dr. Awad’s research interests focuses on:

Dental materials and fixed prosthodontics including: Dental ceramics and Zirconium post and cores, fiber-reiforced composite restorations and post/cores, Color & Dental esthetics, Base metal alloys, Wear and abrasion in dental ceramics, Optical properties of natural teeth and dental ceramics, Finite element analysis, Dental implant materials, Dental cements, Periodontal problems related to fixed prosthodontics.
