Biography

Dr. Azim Khan is a materials scientist currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. In addition, Dr. Khan holds the professional title of Associate Researcher at the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Huzhou Research Center, Zhejiang, China. He holds a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Khan has completed his Master degree in Physics from Center of excellence solid state Physics, Pujanb University, Lahore, Pakistan. His research focuses on nickel-based superalloys, high-entropy alloys, corrosion, and high-temperature oxidation behavior of coatings. Dr. Khan has authored numerous publications in leading journals such as Corrosion Science, Intermetallics, and Surface & Coatings Technology. He has also served as Principal Investigator for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Key Laboratory of Green Fabrication and Surface Technology of Advanced Metal Materials.

Research Interests

Electroplating NC coatings, Aluminide coating (Ni2Al3, NiAl), Corrosion, and high-temperatuer oxidation resistance of aluminide coatings, Phase transformation of alumina, Formation of thermally grown alumina, Nickel-based superalloys, High-entropy alloys.
