Background: Super capsular percutaneously-assisted total hip (Super PATH) approach has been regarded as one of minimally invasive and muscle sparing technique, which accesses the hip maintaining integrity of the external rotators and capsule. The purpose of this study was to compare the Super PATH approach with the conventional posterolateral approach in terms of early clinical outcomes and radiological results.

Levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum, third-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic, is rarely reported to cause life-threatening adverse effects, such as severe hypoglycemia resulting in coma. We report a rare case of hypoglycemia in an elderly non- diabetic patient induced by levofloxacin. A 61-year-old male patient was admitted with severe hypoglycemia. His past medical history revealed treatment with levofloxacin for pneumonia.

Insomnia is a frequent condition that can be acute, intermittent, or chronic. It is an unpleasant feeling that makes it difficult to fall asleep. The main aim of the review is to determine the adverse effects of Insomnia drugs and the need to opt for Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) approach as an adjuvant in treating Insomnia condition with lesser- known side effects. The Methodology involved a detailed literature survey which was performed through an online database, such as Science Direct, Google Scholar, Scopus, Cochrane, and PubMed. The study included original research and book chapters conducted on relation with Insomnia in particular with various therapies used currently and aimed to find possible alternative source which will be effective in treatment as well as with less burden of side effects

The present work aims to study a convenient and environmentally friendly method for the green synth of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs based on lemon juice extract. The biomolecules contained in lemon extract act as self- reducing and stabilizing agents. The optimal solution for the synthesis of AgNPs was determined by varying silver nitrate concentrations. A surface plasmon resonance system identified the synthesized silver nanoparticles by their color change from colorless to dark brown. Silver nanoparticles synthesized were characterized by Uv-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and FTIR spectroscopy. As a result of UV-visible spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) can be determine

Erythrodermic psoriasis (EP) is severe and potentially life-threating variant of psoriasis.1 EP is defined as psoriasis involving more than 80% body surface area (BSA). In recent years the treatment options for EP have expanded; however international guidelines are lacking and the evidence-based treatment choices like conventional therapies and biologics are mainly from small case series or case report.2-3Guselkumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody designed to bind to the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 (IL-23), that inhibits the inflammatory cascade in psoriatic skin. IL-23 plays a central role in T-helper (Th)17 cell stabilization and survival as well as production of IL-17A, a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the response of Ningxiang pig against pathogenic enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) during the weaning period. Sixteen weaned Ningxiang pigs, were selected from one litter at 28 days and randomly allocated into two groups, with or without oral administration of ETEC (109 colony forming units/piglet/d) for two consecutive days. Blood and intestinal samples were collected after sacrifice to investigate the influence for systemic and gastrointestinal tract influences

n recent years’ nanostructure materials (NSMs) have been of great interest as catalysts and other applications because of their unique textural and structural characteristics. Out of various biomaterials employed for NPs synthesis, plant extracts have attracted much attention due to their effectiveness, availability, and green characteristics. Due to the range of chemical constituents, currently, the incorporation of the Aloe chemical constituents into other substances makes the biosynthesis of NPs which are very necessary for the formation and applications ofAloe-based NPs

Immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have provided groundbreaking advancements for a variety of malignancies. It has been of recent interest to identify predictive indicators of response to improve cancer management using immunotherapy. The intestinal microbiome has been recognized as a potential predictor of ICI anti- tumor activity. Antibiotics reduce diversity the overall composition of the gut microbiota, with effects seen as quickly as in a single day. Post-antibiotic dysbiosis recovery varies depending on type and duration of exposure. Preclinical studies in mice with advanced cancer treated with broad spectrum antibiotics have been associated with resistance to ICI treatment.

Water is a compound and may occur in a liquid form or in a solid form or in a gaseous form. All these three forms of water are extremely useful to all, providing the luxuries and comforts, in addition to fulfilling basic necessities of life. The present study aims to determine the ground water quality in Lalgudi Taluk. Water samples were collected from fifteen samplings points.

Hydranencephaly is an extremely rare congenital anomaly of the central nervous system, characterized by the almost total absence of the bilateral cerebral hemispheres and replaced by cerebrospinal fluid. Almost all cases are sporadic with an incidence of less than 1 per 10,000 births and a very poor prognosis. The exact main cause is still unknown, but hydranencephaly is usually found to develop secondarily to the occlusion of cerebral arteries above the supraclinoid level. We report the case of a full-term female infant with hydranencephaly diagnosed at 28 weeks of gestation by routine antenatal intrauterine ultrasonograph

The study investigated the effects of climate change and adaptation strategies among Orange Fleshed Sweet potato (OFSP) farmers in Anambra East and West local government in Anambra State, Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were to assess the sources of information on climate change by the farmers, determine the causes of climate change in the study area, ascertain the perceived effects of climate change on OFSP farmers, assess the adaptation strategies used by the farmers and identify constraints to climate change adaptation strategies.

The term mucoadhesion can be defined as a phenomenon of interfacial molecular attractive forces in the layer of surface of a biological membrane and the natural or synthetic polymer, which allows the polymer to the adhere the surface of that membrane for an extended as well prolonged period of time. Since the last four decades, the conception of mucoadhesion has achieved a important precious interest in the various fields of pharmaceutics

The study reports on improved order selection ergonomics, feedback delivery, productivity, and worker satisfaction by replacing a wireless handheld device system with a voice feedback system. ‘Order selectors’ at a dairy manufacturing plant are tasked with selecting dairy products for store orders (e.g. grocery stores, convenience stores). In the new voice feedback system, workers listened to instructions via a headset and spoke directly into a microphone, receiving immediate voice feedback.

Objective: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a highly prevalent disease associated with various morbidities worldwide. Although continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the cornerstone of therapy, adherence to CPAP directly affects its efficacy. Methods: We retrospectively investigated consecutive patients who were diagnosed with OSA and placed on CPAP the- rapy within an approximate ten-year period. Using patient characteristics and short-term usage, the predictors of adhe- rence to CPAP were evaluated.
