Cardiac myxoma are the most common primary heart tumor. It accounts for 40-50% of primary cardiac tumor. Approximately 75% occurs in left atrium and 15-20% in right atrium. Myxoma are usually polypoid, pedunculated lesion with smooth surface covered with thrombus. Most common site of attachment is at the border of fossa ovalis in left atrium but it can occur in any part of atrial wall. Symptoms are produced because of mechanical obstruction with cardiac blood flow, tumor embolization and constitutional symptoms due to increased expressions of IL-6. Echocardiography is the best diagnostic modality to localise the tumor. Surgical excision is the mainstay of treatment of myxoma present in any location.

Using kinetic differential equations and the Runge-Kutt algorithm, an analysis of the pathological processes occurring in the course of Alzherimer’s disease was carried out. Thanks to the appropriately selected kinetic equations, the presented model allows to explain the time course of the growth of pathological proteins: beta-amyloid and tau protein and the related loss of nerve cells. The model is based on previous experimental knowledge of Alzherimer’s diseas and is in good agreement with the experimental data.

This study aimed at assessing variability among morphometric traits, deducing components that describe these traits and predicting bodyweight from both original and orthogonal traits using regression models. Bodyweight and fifteen morpho- metric traits namely height-at-whither (HW), body-length (BL), chest-depth (CD), chest-girth (CD), rump-length (RL), rump-height (RH), pelvic-width (PW), shoulder-width (SW), head-width (HdW), head-lengthHdL), cannon-bone-length (CBL), cannon-bone-circumference (CBC), ear-length (EL), horn-length (HL), tail-length (TL), and tail-circumference (TC) were recorded on 600 extensively managed and randomly selected adult sheep.

Myocardial infarction with nonobstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is a puzzling clinical entity, coupled with potential multiple pathophysiological mechanisms, often makes disease classification, investigation and management difficult. Despite presence of myocardial damage and increased risk for the future, many patients are discharged undiagnosed, thus the specific cause is not effectively treated.

Tunisian mill wastewater analyzed for the first time prove high Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and high Turbidity values and deserve treatment. The biodegradability index determined by the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD)/chemical oxygen demand (COD) ratio was only 0.072, suggesting its limited biodegradability. Primarily, settling tank showed a positive effect in COD values reduced from 2490 to 448.2 mg/L. In addition, turbidity was reduced from 140 to 65.8 NTU. The coagulation-flocculation process using chemical coagulants-flocculants prior treatment equilibrate this ratio in range 1-2 promises a feasible biological treatment

This paper covers the validation and measurement uncertainty evaluation of an ICP-AES method for bismuth mass fraction determination in bismuth sulfide thin films. Plasma view at radial mode and the wavelength were monitored for bismuth at 223.061 nm. Following AFNOR (Association Française de Normalisation) Norm NFT 90-210 (2009), a regression equation was calculated using single element bismuth standard solution prepared in the same matrix as samples. The linear range was between 0.2 and 2.0 mg L−1. Limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were calculated as 0.03 and 0.12 mg L−1, respectively. Recovery percentages were ranging between 91 and 109 %. Accuracy was found to be adequate. Estimated expanded uncertainty according to both GUM and EURACHEM guides was 3.1 %.

Background: Louse infestation is the poor personal hygiene and a blood feeding ectoparasitic insect of order ptrithirapetera. Inadequate access of water supply leads people to acquire communicable disease such as typhus and relapsing fever. Head lice cause much distress and worry in families with school-aged children. There are many available treatment options. Many of these options are costly and may not be effective.

With the development of research on the utilization of straw as a biomass resource by scientific researchers, there are more and more reports on the analysis of manganese peroxidase in its biodegradation process, which plays an important role in the process of straw biodegradation. There are many methods of analysis and detection. However, the principle of these methods and the accuracy, sensitivity, stability and operational practicality of detection are different, which affects the application range of detection metho

Background and Purpose: Escherichia coli (E. coli) is one of the multidrug-resistant pathogens, producing extendedspectrum beta-lactamase enzymes. Molecular typing of this pathogen can be useful for determining the source of dissemination and transfer of resistance and virulence genes of these isolates. Considering the significance of infection in children, in this study, we examined the stool flora of children (

Forensic Odontology is the means to identify a person from their dental remains. Various methods are there for identifying an individual. In this study, the main aim is to identify an edentulous person making a positive identification by means of Barcode. A Barcode is a machine-readable code in the form of numbers and a pattern of parallel lines of varying widths, printed on a commodity. The study focuses on creating dentures with identification marks/labels using patient’s identity proofs such as Aadhar Card, PAN card, Voter ID card. And these will be incorporated in the denture after acrylization using cost effective and minimally altering method. This is an attempt to incorporate identity marks in dentures that can be provided by a General Dental Practitioner on day-to-day basis.

With the growing burden of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and associated health, social, and economiccosts in sub-Saharan Africa, tools are needed to assess T2D risks rapidly, allowing for targeted early intervention. The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a brief diabetes risk assessment instrument for detecting undiagnosed Type 2 Diabetes among high-risk ethnic communities in Benin, West Africa.

Therapeutic response to anti-TNF antibody treatment in inflammatory bowel diseases is strongly influenced by transmembrane tumor necrosis factor (mTNF) expression in the intestinal mucosa. Fluorescent anti-TNF antibodies applied for in vivo molecular endoscopy have shown to be able to quantify mucosal mTNF expression in real-time and predict response to subsequent anti-TNF treatment in individual patients with Crohn’s.

Background and Purpose: Ischemic stroke is a treatable medical emergency. The diagnosis of stroke is mainly clinical and not always so obvious. Intravenous thrombolysis treatment with altepase IV and endovascular treatment have been proved as fist-line beneficial options for eligible patients who have acute ischemic stroke. However, approximately 30% of patients who experience an acute neurological deficit compatible with ischemic stroke fall into the category of "stroke mimics"

Oxidative stress associated with bacterial infections, are recognized as being a key factor in the appearance and complications of many chronic pathologies. To help overcome these difficulties, herbal remedies are one of the alternatives for the development of traditionally improved drugs. The objective of this work is to evaluate the antiradical and antibacterial activities of the ethanolic extract of the bark of the trunk of Terminalia avicennioides. Plant used in traditional medicine in Chad in the treatment of infectious diseases.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that affects patients’ lung function and thus exercise tolerance. Elderly patients have shown to have more severe and long-term symptoms after contracting COVID-19. Limited evidence has been published on the effectiveness of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programme for elderly patients recovered from COVID-19. Therefore, the aim of this study was to launch and evaluate the effectiveness of a communitybased cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programme.

This study is an attempt to emphasize the prevalence of severe anemia in pediatric age group and characterize different clinical and Hematological findings among them. Anemia is a major global health problem, especially in developing countries like India, despite the fact that this problem is largely preventable & easily treatable. It leads to morbidity and mortality in children and establish a public health problem of substantial importance.
