ImagingIntroductionMR contrast media have become an indispensable part of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, but their roles in ablation therapies are still controversial. The interactions between physical/biological properties of MR contrast media (Longitudinal=T1, transverse=T2 and susceptibility=T2* relaxation times) and diseased tissues (perfusion, edema, hemorrhage and coagulative necrosis) play important roles in differentiating pathologic and ablated tissues.

We report the case of a 52 year old man having no previous abdominal surgery who presented with small bowel obstruction. Computerised tomography showed mid jejunal obstruction, however, the cause of the obstruction could not be diagnosed radiologically. Laparotomy was performed and the obstruction was found to be due to a small annular jejunal tumour.

Abdominal radiographs are routinely used in the acute care setting as they can be performed relatively quickly and can help guide patient management by providing important clinical information. The quality of the radiograph itself has a significant impact on how useful it is for diagnosing or excluding abdominal pathology and whether or not repeats or further imaging is required.

The aim of the current study was to compare the efficacy and side effects of vaginal vitamin C suppository and vaginal metronidazole in treatment of bacterial vaginosis. Double-blind randomized controlled trial. The study included women who presented to the outpatient gynecological clinic with a diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis by amsels criteria. The included eligible women were randomly allocated in one of two groups: group I, including women who received vitamin C vaginal suppository once daily at bed time for 6 days; and group II, including women who received metronidazole 500 mg vaginal suppository once daily at bed time for 6 days. All included women were reviewed in 8-14 days after completion of treatment for reevaluation.

Isoproterenol is frequently used to test therapeutic effectiveness post- catheter ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation. Preliminary data suggests that administration of isoproterenol increases the Bispectral index (BIS), implicating the CNS stimulatory effects of isoproterenol.

Primary small cell lung cancer (SCLC) showing epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation is extremely rare. Transformation into SCLC has been reported as an evolution of lung adenocarcinoma acquiring resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) and is considered to be a rare resistance mechanism of EGFR-TKI therapy.

Terrorists and insurgents have proven their ability to develop effective improvised explosive devices, with each configuration providing insight into the type of target and type of attack. Across rail systems, bus networks, and aviation infrastructure, transportation targets throughout Africa are plentiful and have come under attack. The targeting of transportation infrastructure can only be seen as a direct attack against civilians. Even though the conveyance may be funded or operated by the government, the civilians who fill the conveyance or conveyance’s ‘fixed’ sites are affected the most.

Although the rapid development of forensic speaker recognition technology has been conducted, there are still many problems to be solved. The biggest problem arises when the cases involving disguised voice samples come across for the purpose of examination and identification. Such type of voice samples of anonymous callers are frequently encountered in crimes involving kidnapping, blackmailing, hoax extortion and many more, where the speaker makes a deliberate effort to manipulate their natural voice in order to conceal their identity due to the fear of being caught.

Frontal sinuses are pneumatic cavities that radiologically revealed in 5 or 6 years old and completed in 20 years old. Comparison of the frontal sinus has significant value to establish identification. The purpose of this study was to comparison of frontal sinus and assessment of right and left frontal sinus volume according to gender by using Multi Detector CT scan (MDCT).

Armed conflicts have always meant the ultimate expression of power and at the same time, lack of understanding among nations. Cities were destroyed, people were killed, and assets were devastated. But these are not only the loss of a war: the environmental damage comes to be considered immeasurable losses in the short, medium and long term. And this is because no nation wants to bear that cost.

Previous research has demonstrated that HIV risk practices often differ based on gender and on whether or not people experienced sexual abuse during their formative (i.e., childhood and adolescence) years. The interaction of these two factors, which is the focus of this paper, has received limited attention.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is responsible for the pathogenesis and poor outcomes of several types of cancers, including advanced gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancer. Molecular-targeted drugs on the other hand, such as trastuzumab, prolong overall survival and progression-free survival in HER2-positive gastric cancer. The purpose of the case report is to evaluate the impact of delivering trastuzumab in advanced gastric cancer with concomitant HER2 mutation and amplification.
