Cefpodoxime proxetil (CFPD PRXL) is broad spectrum, third generation cephalosporin; antibiotic. It is extremely bitter taste resulting in poor patient compliance. The aim of the present work was to prepare drug resin complex (DRC) using ion exchange resin (Kyron T-114) for taste masking and formulate oral reconstitutable suspension of DRC.

The study was conducted to investigate effect and the nutritive value of treated banana peel meal at substitutionary levels for maize and other ingredients on the feed efficiency, digestibility and cost effectiveness on broiler chickens diet. A total of one hundred and eighty (180) Arbor Acres broilers were randomly distributed into four treatment groups of 0%-control, 10, 20 and 30% inclusion of treated banana peel meal as T0, T10, T20 and T30 treatments respectively.

The development of effective drug delivery approaches for the treatment of AIDS and HIV infection is a global challenge. The advent
of multidrug, highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), have increased the life span of HIV-infected patients.

Serial dilutions were performed with six disinfectants and two antiseptics to study the MIC-dilution (maximal dilution of disinfectant or antiseptic that inhibits each microorganism) and that dilution was contrasted with the antibiograms of each of the 159 bacteria recently isolated from ICU patients.

Cementifying fibroma is a rare benign fibro-osseous tumor belonging to the same category as fibrous dysplasia and cemento-ossifyingdysplasia. Clinically it usually presents as a painless, slowly growing mass in the jaw and thus the lesion is frequently ignored by thepatient until the growth produces a noticeable swelling and facial deformity.

A nasal septal abscess (NSA) is defined as a collection of pus between the cartilage or bony septum and the mucoperichondrium or mucoperiostium. It’s an uncommon disease that in the absence of early diagnosis and proper management may lead to lethal complications and cosmetic deformity.

Jugular foramen schwannomas arising from cranial nerves IX, X, and XI are uncommon pathological conditions, slowly growing benign tumors that constitute approximately 2.9 to 4% of all intracranial schwannomas. Jugular foramen schwannomas represent 10-30% of all tumors observed around the jugular foramen.

Three stage sampling technique adopted covering 1497 school age children from 24 villages of Jodhpur district and examined at household level for their nutritional anthropometry, dietary and nutritional deficiencies. Growth retardation was observed. Wasting was in 22.4 percent children significantly higher in boys. Stunting and underweight was 36.6 and 43.9 percent (Less than Median–2SD).

Shipment of liquid milk samples for bacteriological examination is a limitation to large scale epidemiological studies. Sampling bulk tank milk (BTM) with sample collection cards (WhatmanTM FTATMMiniCard) was identified as an interesting procedure to ease sample collection and shipment.

Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) catalyzes the rate-limiting step in the synthesis of L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA), a precursor of dopamine, and is considered to be involved in many aspects of mental health. On the other hand, the epigenetic mechanisms have been recognized as mediators of stable changes in brain function.

EPCs (Endothelial progenitor cells) are the precursors of endothelial cells that form the inner lining of blood vessels and are involved in neovascularization and re-endothelializaton of injured tissues. These cells have the potential for treating a multitude of angiogenic disorders giving a new hope in the arena of vascular biology. In the present study, we have demonstrated that cord blood derived expanded CD34+ cells can be differentiated into functional EPCs in vitro.

Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae causes porcine pleuropneumonia, a disease which occurs world-wide and affects pigs of all ages. The study on the protective immune mechanism is not thoroughly clear. An outer membrane protein (OMP) was identified by screening a phage library of 3~8kb random DNA fragments of A. pleuropneumonia serotype 7.

systems are usually called as biological dynamic systems.

The high mortality associated with ovarian cancer is generally related to the development of drug-resistant disease. HMGA2 protein, a member of the high-mobility group AT-hook (HMGA) family of non-histone chromatin binding factors, is overexpressed in high-grade serous ovarian and tubal carcinomas, though little is known about its contribution to disease progression and drug resistance. We sought to assess whether compositional changes in HMGA2 production were associated with ovarian cancer progression.

Ovarian cancer constitutes the second most common gynecological cancer with a five-year survival rate of 40%. Among the various histotypes associated with hereditary ovarian cancer, high-grade serous epithelial ovarian carcinoma (HGSEOC) is the most predominant and women with inherited mutations in BRCA1 have a lifetime risk of 40-60%. HGSEOC is a challenge for clinical oncologists, due to late presentation of patient, diagnosis and high rate of relapse. Ovarian tumors have a wide range of clinical presentations including development of ascites as a result of deregulated endothelial function thereby causing increased vascular permeability of peritoneal vessels.

Periodontal disease is a major oral health problem, in which specific species of bacteria play an important role in its progressing and severity. Because chronic periodontitis is believed to be asymptomatic in its initial stages, it has been suggested that individuals may be unaware of their clinical periodontal status [1-3] and underestimate what treatments are required, as judged by dental professionals [4].

Cardiac myxomas are a potential source of emboli to the brain and elsewhere in the vascular tree. Myxomas are the most common benign primary cardiac tumor in adults. The commonest location of cardiac myxomas is in the left atrium followed by the right atrium and the remainder develops in the ventricles and rarely in the heart valves.

In this era of implant dentistry, the teaching and indications for removable prosthodontics is becoming a lost art, especially in affluent urban environments, where most replacements are accomplished by the use of implant fixtures. Removable prosthodontics is still being taught and is used in rural areas and in the elderly patients or medically compromised individual.

The ecosystem imbalance imposed by conventional agriculture is characterized by the loss of biodiversity that leads to uneven biological-energy distribution or to the disequilibrium of photosynthesis and respiration. These changes contribute to the excessive greenhouse gas accumulation in the atmosphere followed by global climate change.
