The study explores the impact of varying levels of added sugar on the sensory characteristics of chocolate milk. Chocolate milk formulations were studied with five levels of added sugar (g): 0 (A), 7 (B), 14 (C), 21 (D) and 28 g (E) in 237 mL of chocolate milk. For Ranking Descriptive Analysis (RDA), the panel was composed of 15 assessors. The acceptance was evaluated by 190 assessors. Sample discrimination was correlated with sweetness flavor, texture, sweet aroma, chocolate flavor and creamy appearance. It was observed that attributes like sweet aroma, sweetness and texture showed a significant difference among the samples. Formulations C, D and E got higher grades 4 and attributes for milk A and B were less acceptable mainly regarding flavor and texture. The data showed that the samples containing the highest concentrations of added sugar were more preferred than those with lower sugar levels.

An 82 years old male presented to our clinic almost 11 years after initial incidental diagnosis of a 5cm abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) after which he was lost to follow up. He had stable vital signs and was found to have a large pulsatile mass upon abdominal examination. His laboratory tests were within normal limits.

In the past decade, finite element modeling of complete heart valves has greatly aided evaluation of heart valve surgery, design of bioprosthetic valve replacements, and general understanding of healthy and abnormal cardiac function. Such a model must be based on an accurate description of the mechanical behavior of the valve material. It is essential to calculate velocity/displacement, geometrical indices and strain rate/strain at a component level that is to work at the cellular level.

In this study, Macrobrachium nipponense tiny shrimp meats using two methods of drying and freezing along with metalized polyethylene pouches were kept for 6 months. Then their chemical properties (proximate composition, thiobarbituric acid (TBARS), peroxide value (PV), total volatile nitrogen (TVB-N) and free fatty acids (FFA)), microbial (total bacteria count) and sensory (odor, flavor, and color) analyses were evaluated.

A numerous methods are being used for synthesis of gold nanoparticles (NPs) in liquid media, in micelles and at different interfaces. The size and geometry of NPs depend on parameters of synthesis. Here we propose the growth of Au NPs on atomically flat mica surfaces. In such conditions the monocrystalline and isotropic NPs are being simultaneously formed on the surface.

Introduction: Among the neuroinflammatory disorder of CNS, Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is a multifocal, subacute or acute onset disease that has got current interest of neurologists for its better outcome. Very few studies have been carried out on ADEM particularly in adults of our country. So we performed the study to describe short term motor outcome of hospital admitted ADEM patients.

Introduction: Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a condition that described a group of permanent movement and postural development disorders, leading to activity limitations as a result of non-progressive distress during foetal or infant brain development. The non-pregressive distress is frequently associated to sensation, perception, cognition, communication and behavioural disorders, by epilepsy or by secondary muscle distress.

The aim of this article was to assess the mental distress more extensively than has been done before and to determine likely predictors of distress and well-being issues. Moreover, the significant improvement needed in connection to medical students in the context of psychological signs, symptoms of mental distress, and solutions for the students with mental health distress and wellness perspectives were addressed.

The epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) event in carcinogenesis is dependent on multiple operant pathways of master transcription as proposed for NF-kappaB and in terms of the initiated progression of malignant transformation. Inflammation is a primarily compartmentalized series of distinct and overlapping systems that induce and enhance multifocal operabilities within both the nucleus and cytoplasm by systems of enhancer/inhibitory modes of modulation of multi-gene transcription.

The removal of pesticides in the environment mainly depends on natural degradation, especially on microbial degradation. Biodegradation has many advantages, such as complete degradation, no secondary pollution, quick effect and wide spectrum. Based on the single-factor experiments and Box-Benhnken design, the effect of four factors on the degradation of chlorpyrifos by P. stutzeri ZH-1 was investigated.

The aim of this study is to estimate the age-dependent force of infection for hepatitis B virus (HBV) for sick patients showing symptoms, blood donors and people coming to the serology department to test for the antigen in blood voluntarily. A secondary data was obtained from the serology department at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH, January 2013- June 2016).

Kaani Tribes have traditionally depended on harvests of forest, wildlife, and forest products. The main objective of this study was to see if the Kaani tribes have lost the knowledge and use of herbs in treating diseases while relocating to city life. Ethnomedicinal data was collected through Participatory Town Appraisal (PRA), which is based on interaction with indigenous people and direct observation in the field and interviews and discussions with Mootukani, the medicine man for the tribals.

The synthesis of ternary quantum dots (TQDs) have a significant effect on the use of nano scale crystals in biology, photonics and photovoltaic. Rather than controlling the size of TQDs, making three-component TQDs is also an approach to changing the energy of their barrier width, typically using three-component substances such as Znx Cd1-xSe.

In the conventional XRR analysis, the X-ray reflectivity has been calculated based on the Parratt formalism, accounting for the effect of roughness by the theory of Nevot-Croce conventionally. However, the calculated results have shown often strange behaviour where interference effects would increase at a rough surface.
