Outcome of Impedance Bipolar Radiofrequency Ablation (Novasure) for the Management of Heavy Menstrual Bleeding in Women with Scarred Uterus
26 women with HMB and scarred uterus were included in the study. Data regarding procedure completion, complications, hospital stay, success rate and failure of procedure necessitating hysterectomy was obtained. The majority of the patients had one C/S, 5 had two, one had 3 and two had 4 previous C/S scars. The procedure was completed in 84% of cases. Success rate was 68% (15/22) in the scarred uterus group and 32% (31.8%) (7/22) needed hysterectomy due to continuing heavy periods or pain. One woman in the
scarred uterus group had uterine perforation (3.8%) needing overnight admission, all the rest of cases were done as a day procedure. A third (7/22)(32%) of women required a hysterectomy for persistent heavy bleeding or pelvic pain, all were with previous one C/S. The histology of the removed uterus confirmed leiomyomas with or without adenomyosis in all the cases explaining the possible cause of failed Novasure ablation.

Background: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in Brugada syndrome (BrS) has been performed both endocardially and epicardially. The substrate in BrS is thus unclear.
Objectives: To investigate the functional endocardial substrate and its correlation with clinical, electrophysiological and ECG findings in order to guide an endocardial ablation.
Methods: Thirteen patients (38.7±12.3 years old) with spontaneous type 1 ECG BrS pattern, inducible VF with programmed ventricular stimulation (PVS) and syncope without prodromes were enrolled. Before to endocardial mapping the patients underwent flecainide testing with the purpose of measuring the greatest ST-segment elevation for to be correlated with the size and location of substrate in the electro-anatomic map
Assessment of Autonomic Function in Subjects Practicing Yoga Using Spectral Analysis and Approximate Entropy Method
Autonomic nervous system involvement in subjects practicing Yoga has rarely been studied and has shown conflicting results. Our main purpose was to assess the effect of Yoga on autonomic function of group of subjects practicing Yoga regularly in comparison with another group with normal control subjects by measuring the frequency gain response of the two groups. Other aim of this study was to determine wither the duration of Yoga practicing correlated with measures of heart rate variability signal (HRV) using approximate entropy index (ApEn).
Novel analytical technologies of Quality in the Sheep & Goat Dairy Sector
France, Greece, Italy, and Spain the major sheep and goat milk producers in Europe, got the initiative through an interim of 30 years (1985 – 2015), to organize - through IDF - 7 symposiums aiming at the upgrade of the Dairy Sector. One major interest was the milk quality. Stepwise, the efforts followed cow milk structural development in organizing the testing laboratory, the definition of quality in composition (fat, protein, lactose, total solids), in Hygienic (Total Bacteria Count, Somatic Cell Count, antibiotics residues and Aflatoxin M1 contamination), adulteration with water and detection of milk species. EU, by Decision 2002/657/EC, defined the rules for the Directive 96/23/EC, enumerated the testing methods, the demands in sampling procedures, the minimum limits of performance, the quality control (ISO 17025) and the interpretation of results. The equivalency of results from different laboratories, through ISO 17025, demanded the application of ISO analytical standards.

Lumbosacral radicular pain (LRP) is a common symptom, its annual prevalence in the general population is reported to be from 9.9% to 25% and it is characterized by a shooting, radiating pain to one or more dermatomes, which is often caused by irritation of the corresponding nerve root. The initial treatment should be conservative with oral medications, exercise, and physiotherapy. When conservative treatments fail, epidural steroid injections and other interventional treatments should be considered. Surgical interventions are indicated when all other treatments have failed.
