Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, resulting in paralysis, inevitably, death. We herein report a case of a 67-year-old woman diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for one year presented with type II respiratory failure who has been under comprehensive management and kept using Non-Invasive Ventilator (NIV) for more than four months in a stable condition. In this report, we try to discuss the multidisciplinary approach to optimize the functioning of the patients and to care the patients with ALS in order to improve their quality of life (QOL).

The industrialization, urbanization and economic growth have placed a much higher demand of clean water and energy worldwide.
The human activities have constantly been contaminating the reservoirs of fresh water which as a result, has triggered a global challenge
to keep up the demand and supply of the fresh water for an optimal human survival. Wastewater effluents generated through commercial and industrial activities have been released to the freshwater resources either directly or indirectly

For renal sympathetic laser denervation (RSLD) we have tested endoluminal, segmental, laser catheter radiation of renal arteries by
using continuous wave 1064nm Nd:YAG laser light. A total of 74 laser impacts at 15 to 20W/15-80 s (4.5 to 30 J/mm²) were applied
in the left (n=34) and the right (n=40) renal artery in 6 anesthetized healthy pigs by using the open irrigated laser catheter RytmoLas®
(CE 0481), introduced via the femoral artery and manipulated under X-ray control towards the renal arteries by means of a steerable
AGILIS sheath.

To contribute to the efficient satisfaction of nutrient needs of guinea pigs, a study on the effect of the inclusion of Ipomea batatas leaves
and Stylosanthes guianensis meal on the reproductive performance of guinea pigs was carried out between October 2019 and January
2020 in the Animal Production and Nutrition Research Unit of the University of Dschang. 80 guinea pigs including 64 females and
16 males weighing 448 ± 50 g and aged between 5 and 6 months were identified and distributed randomly into 4 groups of 20 animals
each.

DNA is the basic building block for an individual’s whole genetic makeup. DNA is a tiny thread-like molecule which is existent in all forms of life, inception from humans to microscopic organism bacteria or virus. DNA fingerprinting which is currently most popularly known as DNA profiling, is a process of isolating and making images of DNA sequences.

A prospective clinical cohort study covers 108 IS patients. 93 (86,1%) patients were released from the hospital with
improvements, but 15 (13,9%) patients did not survive. The study was carried out in the most acute (1st day of hospitalization) and acute (7 days
of hospitalization) phases of the IS. The level of interleukins in blood serum was defined by enzyme immunoassay method.

Development of novel cryopreservation protocols is required to test novel chemical and non-chemical supplements in freezing extender for bee semen. Antioxidants demonstrate critical effects on post-thawed sperm quality, fertility, and subsequent embryo development. The purpose of the study was to determine of the effects of different concentrations of proline, cysteine and glutamine on some sperm quality and fertility of cryopreserved bee spermatozoa.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a Very Low-Calorie Ketogenic Diet (VLCKD) compared to a LowCalorie Diet (LCD) in the treatment of mildly obese patients. We aimed to highlight the difference in weight loss, compliance, physical
activity levels and drop-out rates between the VLCKD group and the standard LCD one.

: Aiming to evaluate the recent theoretical postulates on tinnitus underscoring the role of thalamocortical neural tracts, the
present study 1) explores Middle Latency Response (MLR) as a possible physiological measure of tinnitus: thus investigates the predicted
exaggeration of Pa-Na, Na-Pb interpeak amplitudes in tinnitus patients and 2) explores MLR as a prognostic indicator of Tinnitus Retraining
Therapy: thus evaluates possible decrease in Pa-Na & Na-Pb amplitude after 2weeks exposure to Tinnitus Retraining Therapy.

Researchers have made it possible to estimate the length of bones from their fragments in recent times; therefore, the stature can be estimated from the length of the bones so derived. The length of long bones has been the major means through which stature estimates were made. This study aimed to compare the length estimates of the humerus from anatomical landmarks (variables) on the bone and x-ray radiographs of humerus in adult Nigerians.

Crime statistics estimate that males are responsible for 80% of violent crimes and those males commit approximately 95% of sexual offenses.
Sexual assault crimes account for a large percentage of biological evidence submitted to forensic casework laboratories. Identifying,
segregating, and analyzing male DNA in sexual assault and other evidence containing mixtures of male and female DNA presents a complex
challenge.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has be designated a pandemic less than 4 months after its first outbreak. Due to the novelty of the virus, there is little understanding of how ecological factors affect transmission of the coronavirus. This study aims to determine the relationship of temperature, absolute humidity, and health infrastructure on COVID-19 transmission and mortality.
