Entomological Observations on a Decomposing Pig (Sus scrofa) in Nebraska: Late Spring to Early Summer
The determination of the postmortem interval (PMI) towards assisting in medicolegal investigations is a frequent requirement in any developed jurisdiction. Each of the latter has prevailing peculiarities, especially with many operating variables
that include seasonal changes. There is a dearth of information about the decompositional pattern and progress of cadavers
deposited on the ground in Nebraska, a jurisdiction lying within the Central Great Plains of North America. The present
study, using an experimental pig was designed to consider the entomological peculiarities within a geographical area exhibiting taphonomic characteristics, and during a defined season.
The Impact of Seasonal Changes on Growth Performance, Rumen Fermentation, and Rumen Microbiota Structure of Yaks: An Analysis Using the Supplemented 2.5kg Concentrate Level as an Example
The study investigated the effects of supplementing the same level of concentrate in different seasons on the growth performance,
rumen fermentation, serum biochemical index, and rumen microflora changes in yaks, to provide guidance on accurate
feeding of yaks in cold and warm seasons. 12 healthy yaks weighing (124.21±15.64) kg were selected for the experiment,
with a warm season group from August to October and a Cold season supplemental feeding group from October to December.
The results showed that the mean daily gain was significantly higher in the warm season grazing group than in the cold
season grazing group (p<0.05). Rumen fermentation, serum biochemical index, and rumen microflora changes also varied
significantly between the two groups (p<0.05).
Horizontal Natural Product Transfer: The Origin of the Widespread Alkaloidal Contaminations of Herbal Products
Alarmed by numerous worrying reports by the European Food Safety Authority related to widespread contaminations of
plant-derived commodities by poisonous alkaloids (nicotine, pyrrolizidine alkaloids), the sources of these alkaloidal contaminations were investigated. Our studies revealed that alkaloids, which have been leached out from decomposing alkaloidal

Mathematical Analysis on the Design of Heliostat Field
The optimal design of heliostat field in solar power generation device is studied Heliostat field generates high temperature
by focusing the sunlight reflected from the mirror surface, thus pushing the turbine to generate electricity. In order to
improve the efficiency of power generation, this paper optimizes the parameters of heliostat field, establishes a singleobjective optimization model, and uses mixed strategy whale optimization algorithm to solve it. Through geometric optical
analysis and ray tracing model, the optical efficiency of heliostat field and the annual average output thermal power per
mirror area are calculated. Finally, through the discussion and analysis of the model, the optimization design method is
evaluated.

Food Habits and Factors Affecting Food Intake Among College Students in Kuwait
A cross-sectional study was conducted to assess food habits among college students at Kuwait University (KU) utilizing a
written questionnaire, targeting first year to higher education level regardless of age. Participants were recruited from different colleges (n=678) (73%, females, and 27% males) with a response rate of 98.8%. Data showed that 48.6% buy their foods
from campus, and 38.2% of them eat in college daily. The taste was the most influential factor that is affecting food choices
(53.7%), while only 2.9% of students considered cost as an important element
Recurrent Ophthalmic Eczema Herpeticum with Hyper Immunoglobulin E Syndrome in A 4 Years-Old Boy
Eczema herpeticum (EH) is a skin infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV) that occurs in individuals with atopic
dermatitis. It is characterized by the sudden appearance of vesicles and erosions with crusts over areas affected by eczema.
EH can range from mild and self-limiting in healthy adults to life-threatening in children, infants, and immunocompromised patients. Early treatment with antiviral therapy is crucial in preventing complications and mortality. EH is primarily
caused by a superinfection of HSV, usually HSV-1, in individuals with atopic dermatitis. Reactivation of HSV is more common than primary infection. Patients with atopic dermatitis are more susceptible to skin infections due to impaired skin barrier function and immune dysregulation. Disseminated cutaneous HSV infection can also occur in individuals with other

: Obesity is a global epidemic with serious consequences for countries.
Objective: This work aims to systematically review the available evidence on the relationship between basal metabolism (BM), body composition, and physical activity (PA) with central obesity.
Methodology: The search strategy was carried out using Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar, and SciELO following
the PRISMA guidelines. The STROBE checklist and the Jadad scale were also used for quality assessment.
Electronic-nose Applications in Forensic Science and for Analysis of Volatile Biomarkers in the Human Breath
The application of electronic-nose (E-nose) technologies in forensic science is a recent new development following a long history of progress in the development of diverse applications in the related biomedical and pharmaceutical fields. Data from forensic analyses must satisfy the needs and requirements of both the scientific and legal communities. The type of data collected from electronic-nose devices provides a means of identifying specific types of information about the chemical nature of evidentiary objects and samples under investigation using aroma signature profiles of complex gaseous mixtures containing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released from manufactured products and parts of the human body. E-nose analyses also provide useful qualitative information about the physicochemical characteristics and metabolic conditions of human subjects without the need for time-consuming analyses to identify all chemical components in human-derived volatile mixtures.
