The Efficiency of Functional Activated Carbon Non-woven Fabric Filters for Fine Dust Reduction
Particulate matter (PM) concentrations are significantly higher in urban railway tunnels (178.1 μg/m3) than in metropolitan areas (49 μg/m3). Nitrogen oxide (NOx) concentrations, which are a direct cause of lung disease, have been found to exceed the atmospheric standard of the Ministry of Environment in tunnels in Korea. Dust generated by trains is scattered at high speed along tunnels, making filtration difficult. The development of filters that can be used in tunnels is urgently required. In this study, the results of using an activated carbon filter (ACF) were analyzed and compared with the laboratory-scale PM adsorption using functional activated carbon non-woven fabric filters (Cerebasel, Cerecore) that can be manufactured in Korea. The fine PM concentration, filter depth, and flow rate in the tunnel were the experimental variables. We compared PM concentrations before and after the filter experiments, and calculated the PM removal efficiency to determine the optimal conditions.

A Preliminary Evaluation Study to Determine the Effectiveness of Infra-Red Photography for the Rapid Visualisation of Gun Shot Residue on Fabric
Infrared (IR) photography has been shown to be a proficient technique for the examination of documents, blood traces and ageing of skin injuries. However, its application in relation to the visualisation of latent Gunshot Residue (GSR) deposits has, until now, been significantly under researched. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of IR photography as a rapid technique for GSR visualisation on different fabric types.
Some Significant Developments in Bandage Fabrics
The article provides some useful insights on bandage cloths as pointed out by some significant researches. Some work has been focused on medical bandages. In the construction of bandages, cotton, bamboo and cotton/bamboo have been selected. In order to enhance the functional properties finish has been given that include antimicrobial using triclosan, vitamin E and aloe vera. The woven bandages have been tested for antimicrobial activity, comfort and aesthetic property.
Prevalence of the different FAB sub type of Acute Myeloid Leukemia related to hematological parameters in Sudanese
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a heterogeneous disease. Therefore, various parameters are needed to classify this disease into subtypes. The commonly used method for diagnosis and classification is based on FAB criteria using morphology and cytochemical stains. For some of the categories, immunopheno typing is necessary. The aim of present study is to determine the frequency of various sub-types in acute myeloid leukemia using FAB criteria in our Sudanese population. This will aid in the correct diagnosis of acute leukemia and hence proper management of the patients.

Clinical and Molecular Evaluation of a Case of Male Infertility and Azoospermia
Here we describe the case of a 35 year old male, with a harmonic phenotype, who sought medical assistance to assess the etiology of his infertility. As a result of clinical examination, karyotyping, FISH and molecular studies, we obtained the following karyotype: mos 45,X[18]/46,XY,idic(Y)q(11.2)[82]. Furthermore, the Y chromosome was characterized by the absence of the regions AZF2 (former AZFb, within the 11.22 band, and AZFc, within the 11.23 band), whereas the region AZF1 was conserved. Male infertility can be caused by several genetic alterations.

NMR Assignment of N-(1-adamantyl)-1-pentyl-1H-indazole-3-carboxamide Seized as Herbal Incense for the First Time in Italy
The synthetic cannabinoid, N-(1-adamantyl)-1-pentyl-1H-indazole-3-carboxamide, known also as AKB48 and/or APINACA, has been detected for the first time in herbal incense seized in Italy. Its structural characterization has been performed through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis. In order to favor an easier and faster identification of AKB48 in future investigations, NMR assignments in deuterated methanol and chloroform is also reported.

The Effects of the Film Thickness and Roughness in the Anodization Process of Very Thin Aluminum Films

Fabrication of Vertical Cu2ZnSnS4 Nanowire Arrays by Two-Step Electroplating Method into Anodic Aluminum Oxide Template
Vertical Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) nanowire arrays have been synthesized via two-step electroplating method into anodized aluminum oxide template. For deposition of CZTS nanowires, anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) was used as the growth mask for the growth of the nanowires. AAO templates with hole sizes of 70 nm in diameter were used in the experiments.
Fabrication and Luminescence of Anodic Alumina with Incorporated Vanadyl Citrate Chelate Anions
Anodic aluminum oxide doped with vanadyl citrate chelate complex anions was formed by a two-step self-organized anodization in 2 wt. % sulfuric acid containing 0.04 M V2O5 and 0.08 M citric acid at voltage range 13-23 V, and at 0 and 15 oC. The combination of two temperatures and at least four voltages (depending on the applied temperature) was applied as the operating conditions of anodization.
