Modeling of InGaAsBi/InGaAs/InP Multi-Quantum Wells Short-Wave Infrared Detectors
We report the theoretical investigation of type-I InGaAsBi/InGaAs superlattice short-wave infrared detector nearly lattice matched to InP substrate such as the quaternary InGaAsBi/InGaAs layer is the absorption region. The used bismuth composition is about 5.5%, the Bi incorporation induced a cut-off wavelength red-shift from 1.6 µm to 3µm at room temperature (RT), and showing a band gap reduction about 362meV.
HIV Screening Scenarios and Targets to Achieve 90% Sero-Status Knowledge Over 2021-2025 in Morocco – Pioneer Use Case of the Goals HIV Testing Strategies Model in a Concentrated Epidemic
Morocco applied the Goals testing model, projecting alternative testing scale-up scenarios, varying coverage targets for 13 adult populations. The model was calibrated using program service delivery, spending and surveillance data (2015-2019), integrated bio-behavioural surveys, and national HIV estimates. It projects annual diagnoses by target group from undiagnosed prevalence and testing coverage, allowing for HIV-infected people self-selecting for testing, retesting and transitions between groups. Scenarios were
evaluated for knowledge status improvement and cost, focusing on 2023-2025.
Utilization of Red mud-Water/Soil Pollutant for Alternative Engineering Applications: A Critical Perspective Review
Environmental pollution and climate change continue to be a major cause for concern in the 21st century. Aluminum is the most abundant metal on the surface used in every walk of life. Red mud, a by-product produced during the extraction of Aluminium from Bauxite by Bayer’s Process, causes serious hazards for the human and ecological systems.
Using Simulation and Data Mining For Engineering Knowledge Improvement
Significant work has been attempted to better comprehend the attributes and mechanisms suggested in simulation and data mining in precedent research. More prominent understanding causes not only give progresses in numerous fields but also enable experts to better consider the last target.
Analysis of antibody by Real-Valued Special Functions
Along with the rapid development of genetic engineering technology and antibody engineering technology, the humanized monoclonal antibody has been rapidly developed and gradually replaces the rat sourced monoclonal antibody. In this paper, we establish two new logarithmically completely monotonic functions involving the real-valued special functions according to two preferred interaction geometries, necessary and sufficient conditions are presented for one of them to be logarithmically completely monotonic. As a consequence, a sharp inequality involving the real-valued special functions is deduced to solve the problems of genetically engineered antibody.
Clavicle Fractures: Allman and Neer Classification
Clavicle fractures are common injuries in young adults and children, and diagnosis can often be made based on history and physical exam. Treatment decisions vary according to the fracture’s location and multiple classification schemes have been devised to describe fracture patterns. The Allman model is the most widely used, which Dr. Neer subsequently revised to further delineate distal clavicle patterns. This article will illustrate the anatomy of the clavicle, its attachments and clinically relevant injury patterns. It is imperative to accurately classify these injuries as clinical outcomes and management options vary according to their morphology.
Clinical Evaluation of 762 Single-Tooth, Locking-Taper Implants: A Prospective Study with 1- to 12-Years of Follow-Up
The aim of this study was to evaluate the survival rate, complications and marginal bone loss of single-tooth lockingtaper implants.
A Highly Efficient Culture Technique for Derivation of Motor Neurons from Human Umbilical Cord Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells
Motor Neuron Diseases (MND) are a group of progressive neurological disorders that destroy motor neurons, cells that control essential muscle activity. Despite the advances in treatment modalities, the overall survival rate has not changed for decades. This is mainly due to the lack of effective methods.
Nanotechnology Commercialization: Prospects in India
Nanotechnology manipulates and creates matter to formulate nanometer scale materials and objects. It is an interdisciplinary field that involves a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines, and has societal implications.
Biocompatible Polymers and Processing Techniques in Drug Delivery and Tissue Engineering
In recent years many progress has been achieved in the biomedical and biopharmaceutical fields particularly in drug delivery and regenerative medicine. This has been possible thanks to the increased expertise in polymers chemistry as well as the advent of innovative techniques of materials manipulation that have lead to the production of new “smart” polymeric devices with peculiar propertiesable to selectively reach almost all areas of the human body, in the case of drug delivery systems, or to reduce the chemical-physical gap between human tissues and synthetic devices, in the case of tissue engineering.
Polymeric Nano-Fibers and Modified Nano-Fibers Assembly in 3D Network for Different Potential Applications
Polymeric nano-fiber based materials and their application is one of the research areas in materials science and nanotechnology. Nano-fibrous materials are receiving extensive research interest for applications in diverse fields as biosensors, optical and chemical sensors, stimuli-responsive or "smart" materials, bioreactors, drug delivery carriers, etc.
