France, Greece, Italy, and Spain the major sheep and goat milk producers in Europe, got the initiative through an interim of 30 years (1985 – 2015), to organize - through IDF - 7 symposiums aiming at the upgrade of the Dairy Sector. One major interest was the milk quality. Stepwise, the efforts followed cow milk structural development in organizing the testing laboratory, the definition of quality in composition (fat, protein, lactose, total solids), in Hygienic (Total Bacteria Count, Somatic Cell Count, antibiotics residues and Aflatoxin M1 contamination), adulteration with water and detection of milk species. EU, by Decision 2002/657/EC, defined the rules for the Directive 96/23/EC, enumerated the testing methods, the demands in sampling procedures, the minimum limits of performance, the quality control (ISO 17025) and the interpretation of results. The equivalency of results from different laboratories, through ISO 17025, demanded the application of ISO analytical standards.

Objective: To evaluate the flexure strength and flexure modulus of the nano-filled dental composite after different storage conditions.
Introduction
Resin-based composite (RBC) restorations are widely used in dental practice. The improved physical and mechanical properties of
RBC, the good esthetics, and the ease of chair-side application in addition to the acceptable durability of these restorations have led to
its high popularity in recent decades. Durability of dental composite restorations is influenced by multiple factors, some are related
to materials composition such as resin matrix, filler type, and filler loading and others are related to the technique and surrounding
environment in which the material is functioning, and recurrent decay could be an additional contributing factor to composite failure
[1-8].
Methods: Two nano-composite materials were investigated (Filtek Z350 and Tetric N Ceram). Composite bars (n=15) were prepared
from each material using Teflon mold with the dimensions of (2 x 2 x 25 mm). Samples from each material were randomly subdivided
into three groups according to storage condition (dry, distilled water, and thermo-cycled). Flexure test was performed under a load of
2 KN at a cross head speed of 0.25 mm/ min in a universal testing machine.

The distribution of different human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) genotypes and the prevalence of transmitted drug resistance (TDR) mutations vary greatly across different Brazilian regions. This study aimed to describe the HIV-1 molecular diversity and TDR prevalence among treatment-naïve HIV-1 infected individuals in an urban area of Northeastern Brazil. DNA samples from 97 infected individuals were obtained and pol sequences were generated by Polimerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and direct sequencing. Bioinformatics tools were used to identify the presence of associated mutations with drug resistance, to reconstruct the phylogeny and to detect recombination.

India stands first in the world in terms of its wealth of palmyrah palms with a population estimated to nearly 122 million palms. Palmyrah
palm has great economic potential and every part of the palm is useful in one way or the other. The edible palm products such as Neera,
Palm Jaggery, Palm Sugar, Palm Candy, Palm Chocolate, Nungu, Fruit, tuber etc. are rich vitamin and minerals, but products are not
commercialised as lack of the value addition.

Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world, next only to water. Some teas are not pure varieties, but have been
enhanced through additives or special processing, which allows for the design of an almost endless range of scented and flavored variants.
The aromatized teas are popular due to their aroma and organoleptic properties. Tea polyphenols, especially flavonoids have attracted
considerable interest because of their associated health properties. Several studies have demonstrated that tea flavonoids possess strong
antioxidant activity and metal chelating properties, thus may protect cells and tissues against reactive oxygen species. In this study the
content of flavonoids in the infusions of several commercially available teas (black and aromatized) was determined by HPLC-MS in
the negative electrospray ionization mode. All types of tea contained epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) in the greatest amounts. Higher
content of rutin was found in pure black tea infusions comparing to aromatized teas. Some teas with citrus aromas or fruits contained
also other flavonoids such as naringin and hesperidin. Infusions of black teas exhibited higher antioxidant properties evaluated in FolinCiocalteu
and DPPH assays.

Slimming products have gained popularity due to its easy availability and quick source to curb obesity. Studies suggest that they often
contain banned compounds which produce adverse effects on repeated use. The objective of the present study was to estimate the
concentration of illicit substances, sibutramine and phenolphthalein, in the slimming products of different origin which are commonly
marketed in UAE using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS).

Our research study on diabetic patients in a community in South Texas have shown that increasing age, male gender, married status, smoking history, limited education, and birth in Mexico are risk factors for observed increasing HbA1c and FBG. Elevated lipoprotein levels are particularly observed in type 2 diabetes. Low insulin levels and high BMI in this high risk population correlate to the severity of their diabetes. Moreover we have observed that being born in Mexico influences the patient’s method of treatment with use of oral or combined oral and parenteral routes with poor control of their diabetes. Perhaps the Hispanics born in Mexico may have limited knowledge of their disease influenced by their educational level, socioeconomic status, and prior misconceptions on appropriate methods of treatment(s).

Previous studies have shown that women who are overweight or obese are at risk for adverse reproductive outcomes, including infertility, gestational diabetes, and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. However, information surrounding the risk factors for obesity among Saudi women of reproductive age is deficient due to the limited number of studies that assessed obesity prevalence among them.

This study aimed to investigate the existence of the golden proportion between the widths of the maxillary anterior teeth in
individuals with an aesthetic smile. This study was conducted on 120 subjects (60 women and 60 men), with ages ranging from 18 to 25 years.
Those subjects whose natural smile did not show any visual tension with regards to the study and their own criteria were selected
as having aesthetic smile. An image measurement program was used to measure the apparent mesio-distal widths of six maxillary
anterior teeth on the scanned photographs of these subjects. Individual measurements of each maxillary anterior tooth were taken and
the golden proportion was compared. The existence of the golden proportion was investigated in the width ratios of maxillary anterior
teeth.

Although dental implants have been a successful option for replacement of lost dentition for nearly five decades, their use in the
medical and dental treatment plan is still in its youth. Literature on the medical implications of dental implants is surprisingly sparse,
with a need for organization. This review is an attempt to begin the process of documenting the science behind this complex, yet critical
topic.

Extrapleural solitary fibrous tumors (SFT) and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are similar morphologically and on imaging studies. We report a case of a patient with a giant pelvic tumor, which was difficult to be diagnosed. A 71-year-old male presented to our hospital with a complaint of urinary retention. A radiological examination showed a giant pelvic tumor mass, which ventrally compressed the urinary bladder and rectum, and was supplied by vascular flow from the right internal iliac artery. The resected specimen was 15 × 10 cm, elastic soft, and solid pale yellow in color. Because the tumor was histologically composed of spindle-shaped cells and was CD34 positive, cytokeratin negative, epithelial membrane antigens negative and KIT negative, we first thought the tumor was a KIT-negative GIST.

AuthorSurface texturing is an indispensable process for solar cell fabrication. The interaction of the surface with the incoming sunlight is controlled by texturing in such a way that the absorption is maximized through multiple interactions. Wet and dry etching techniques have been used to create textured surfaces on solar cells. Other than standard alkaline texturing used by the industry, metal assisted etching (MAE) appears to be a promising texturing technique with greater potential application for multi-crystalline solar cell fabrication. It is possible to achieve both random and periodic patterns with MAE which is relatively cheaper than dry plasma etching techniques. In this study, periodic hole patterns with micron sized diameters and periodicity were aimed to be achieved.

Neonates with severe hyperbilirubinaemia are at increased risk for neurological morbidity. Risk factors for early onset hyperbilirubinaemia include prematurity, red cell haemolysis and birth trauma. As most neonates are asymptomatic and clinical evaluation in detecting early jaundice limited, clinical practice guidelines at the Royal Women’s Hospital recommend a serum bilirubin (SBR) level in the first 24 hours following birth for neonates

People looking at Mona Lisa, the famous artwork of Leonardo Da Vinci, believe that she looks at them from every direction they
look at her. However in a survey the author has conducted, that has never been done before, 500 people were asked to look at her
from right, front and left sides. The results were surprising and negate the well-known myth that Mona Lisa looks at the observer
from all directions viewed.
