Crouzon syndrome is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by fusion of coronal and sagittal sutures. There is arrested growth of the maxilla and zygoma resulting in shallow orbits with ocular proptosis, hypertelorism and maxillary hypoplasia. Hereby, we present a case report of a 20-year-old Jamaican female with Crouzon syndrome, who had multiple facial deformities including midfacial hypoplasia, short upper lip and hypertelorism.

It has a great significance to establish a high repetitive and special system to evaluate locomotion for tree shrew animal models, especially neuropsychiatric models. Thus, we designed a special open field test appliance for tree shrews by using a polymer PMMA board (plexiglass). The locomotion of naïve tree shrews was detected twice in it. By using Any-maze Software tracing the motion trajectory, we found that the motion trajectory and the distance were very similar in both tests. It demonstrated that the appliance designed for tree shrews had extremely high reliability and stability.

Present study was planned in order understand the surveillance, browsing behavior and nutritive value of camel browse vegetations. Review of literatures indicated that camel is mostly found at arid and semi-arid areas of the world where average rain fall becomes less than 350 mm per year. The estimated population in the world is 19 million, among which 17 million are supposed to be one-humped dromedary camels (Camelus dromedarius) and 2 million two-humped Bactrian camels (Camelus bactrianus).

In this study, mature sweet orange fruits (amber variety) were separately subjected to hot water treatments: 35 o C for 25 and 30 minutes; 45 o C for 15, 20 and 25 minutes; 48 o C for 10, 15 and 20 minutes; 50 o C for 10, 15 and 20 minutes; 53 o C for 10 minutes and 55 o C for 5 minutes and were thereafter assessed for their DNA quality while unheated fruits served as control. The DNA quality was done by rapid random polymorphic DNA-polymersae chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) on the extracted DNA from each set of treated fruits using the RAPD primer OPR 02 (5’ – CAC AGC TGC C-3’).

This review aims to alert the pandemic evolution taken by the actual outbreak of the COVID-19, and therefore calls the highest institutions of the global health namely the World Health Organization (WHO) to reinforce the measures taken in the fight against this new virus by working tightly with each affected region and the emergency in elaborating a new vaccine.

Asthma is a common chronic airway disease affecting about 334 million people worldwide, and an estimated 7 million children globally. Approximately 10% of patients with asthma have severe refractory disease, which is uncontrolled despite using high doses of inhaled corticosteroids and other modifiers. Among these patients are patients with eosinophilic asthma. Eosinophilic asthma is a phenotype of asthma that is usually very severe and persistent, with frequent exacerbations. It is characterized by the presence of high levels of eosinophils, and CD+4 Th2 cells in the lungs and airways. Eosinophils play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis and severity of asthma. Most patients with eosinophilic asthma respond to the classic stepwise guided treatment. However, 50% of patients with eosinophilic asthma are refractory to corticosteroids and long-acting β2-agonists. Currently, there are targeted personalized biologics for these patients. These biotherapeutics include IgE, interleukin and interleukin receptor monoclonal antibodies,they have added advantageous steroid-sparing effects.

Obesity increases of prevalence of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in young active populations worldwide. We sought to investigate the status of young men (n=200) and women (n=200) aged from 18 to 39 years old, living at Libreville, by examining their lifestyles and eating habits, and measuring their anthropometric parameters, including, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), percentages of total muscles, lean mass, body and visceral fats, as well as metabolic age and metabolism at rest.

The aim of this work was to determine the pattern of injuries in patients attended to the emergency department of Alexandria Main University Hospital and its relation to substance use.

The wind instruments are the musical instruments most likely to cause oral lesions, because their use involves the involvement of anatomical structures of the oral and perioral cavity. The purpose of this literature review was to assess the impact of wind instruments on the oral condition of musicians. Scientific articles indexed in the databases Pubmed, Lilacs, Scielo, Cochrane and also in Google Scholar were evaluated. Publications from 1935 to 2020 were included and the following descriptors were applied: wind musicians and oral conditions, wind musicians and periodontal conditions, wind musicians and occlusal disorders.

This new approach challenges the traditional views on brain oxygenation according to which oxygen supply to the brain tissues occurs by diffusion at the capillary level.

The study of the in vitrodigestibility of Indian bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris) leaves associated with Stylosanthes guianensisin ruminants was conducted in April 2019 in the Animal Production and Nutrition Research Unit of the University of Dschang. A bovine ruminal fluid, a source of energy (B. vulgaris) and a nitrogen source (S.guianensis) with or without polyethylene glycol (PEG) were used. A sample of rations based on B. vulgarisassociated with 0; 20 and 30% of S.guianensis, with or without PEG was removed, dried and milled to determine the chemical composition and evaluation of in vitrodigestibility. Results of this study showed that the addition of legume increased the total nitrogen content (MAT) (12.87, 13.03 and 13.56% DM) when the B. vulgariswas associated with 0; 20 and 30% S.guianensis.
