Transdermal drug delivery system has become a proven technology that offer significant clinical benefit over the dosage forms. Drugs with very short half-life, narrow therapeutic window, and poor bioavailability-transdermal drug system are convenient. Skin serves as site of drug application for local as well as systemic effects. There are wide varieties of drugs for which topical or transdermal is viable options

The restorative rehabilitation of extensively damaged endodontically treated teeth often requires an endodontic post as an additional retention element for core build up. Fiber reinforced post is gaining popularity due to their numerous advantages over metal posts. However, there is no published literature on the disadvantages of the fiber-based post systems. This is the first article which reviews the disadvantages and survival rate of fiber post and also compares the performance of fiber post to metal post systems.

Hydrogen gas has been used widely in the industrial aspect, especially as clean energy. On one hand, it reduces the dependency on fossil fuels; on the other hand, it solves the environmental polluting issue and also reduces the greenhouse gases emitted to the environment. Producing hydrogen by chemical and physical methods require higher fee and investment. Producing hydrogen from renewable biomass, especially agricultural waste such as straws, can produce with low cost and decrease the amount of agricultural waste and pollutions. This article introduces the result of the beginning research to produce hydrogen gas from straw using biotechnology.

Across sectional study of epidemiological risk factors and associated bacterial pathogens was conducted on 216 lactating dairy cows in jimma town from Oct. 2016 to April 2017 to determine the overall prevalence rate, associated bacterial pathogens and to assess effect of risk factors on prevalence of mastitis. Upon physical examination of udder and teats the prevalence of clinical mastitis was 2.3% at cow level and 0.96% at quarter level. Using the California mastitis test (CMT) for detection of sub clinical mastitis, the prevalence of sub clinical mastitis at cow level and quarter level was 60.65 and 38.4% respectively. The overall prevalence of mastitis was 62.96. Out of 323 (38.4%) CMT positive quarters with evidence of sub clinical mastitis, the quarter infection rate for the right rare quarter was highest (41.3%) followed by left rear (38.8%), right and left front (each 36.7%). Up on microbiological examination of milk samples for both clinical and subclinical quarters, out of a total of 331 cultured, 271(81.9%) yielded bacteria whereas 60(18.1%) yielded no bacteria. A total of 263 bacterial pathogens were isolated whereas 8 were mixed infections with more than two different colonies. The main bacterial pathogens isolated were coagulase negative staphylococci (CNS) (26.6 %), Staphylococcus aureus (24.7%), Escherichia coli (13.31%), Streptococcus species (9.13%), and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (8.8%). Other bacteria isolated with low isolation rate were micrococcus species (3.04%), Corynebacterium species (3.4%), Actinomyces pyogenes (3.8%), Bacillus species (3.42%) and other gram negative rods (3.8%). Host factors such as breed, age parity and lactation stage had significant effect on the prevalence of mastitis (p‹0.05). Managemental and environmental factors such as bedding, ventilation, frequency of barn cleaning, udder washing and use of communal towel had significant effect on the occurrence of mastitis (p‹0.05). Whereas milking practice, drainage had insignificant effect on the prevalence of mastitis (p›0.05).

The objective of this thesis is to study neutrosophic R − module . Some basic features and definitions of the classical R − module are expanded. It is clear that every neutrosophic R − module over a neutrosophic ring is a R − module. Also, it is shown that an element of a neutrosophic R − module over a neutrosophic ring can be infinitely conveyed as a linear combination of some elements of the neutrosophic R − module.

We think that there is a generalized opinion that nursing professionals have to possess a strong vocation for their profession, which can be compared with the priesthood. In Europe, during the Middle Ages, they were supported by the Catholic Church. It is believed that the first recorded aspects of nursing place the inception of the profession during the height of the Roman Empire, around 300 A.D. It was during this time that the Empire sought to place a hospital within every town under its rule.

The arterial supply of the thumb differs greatly from that of the other fingers. The surgical technique is based on the presence of the ulnar dorsal digital artery of the thumb. By reference to anatomical facts, we present a case of the simple local flap, a dorsoulnar flap of the thumb, which presents a possibility to cover the extensive distal and pulpal thumb’s defects. As results, the flap was viable, well vascularized and the coverage was good.

The side effects of spinal anesthesia have been the focus of many researchers. These complications can affect patients’ satisfaction following surgery and duration of hospitalization. Therefore, factors that lead to increased risk of side effects must be identified, one of these factors is gender. This study evaluated the relationship between gender and adverse effects after spinal anesthesia.

Gemcitabine is a pyrimidine analog and cisplatin is a platinum agent, they are usually combined to form a chemotherapeutic doublet used to treat different types of oncological cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Although these agents are not known to cause such events, few cases related to possible cardiotoxicity side effects have been reported ; including angina, chronic heart failure, arrhythmias, and cardiac ischemia. A 52-year-old African male presented with Stage IV lung adenocarcinoma metastatic to the bone, pleura and lymph node, EGFR wild type. Patient has a history of hypertension, diabetes, and atrial fibrillation and on rate control medications. He was treated initially with cisplatin-gemcitabine, after which he developed cardiomyopathy.

For more than two millennia, healers and patients have tried to cure the symptoms of diabetes by dietary measures. These have changed with the advancing state of knowledge about this first mysterious, later puzzling disease. In the last 100 years, the introduction of insulin, oral antidiabetics and improved possibilities for self-control have changed and somewhat reduced the importance of special dietetic measures. Since patients with type 2-diabetes now suffer earlier and more severely from the consequences of the metabolic syndrome, they should choose a normal “prudent diet” to prevent or at least attenuate this fate.

Episiotomy is an incision that is made in perineum at the end of part of second stage of delivery. There are Long term sequels of episiotomy repair. A considerable number of ladies complains from perineal pain and up to twenty percent have long term complications e.g., dyspareunia [1]. The best method for repairing episiotomy is the method that isnot time consuming and lesser materials and causes lesser pain in the immediate and long term periods.

Fins are the extended surfaces through which heat transfer takes place by conduction and convection to keep the base surface cool. Fins of various configurations are presently used ranging from automobile engines to cooling of chip in a computer. Fins used presently are solid with different shapes but in the present research such solid fins are compared with solid fins having maximum of 10 numbers of embossings that further increase the surface area for maximum heat transfer.

The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a widely used tool to track and to detect heart diseases which are one of the leading causes of death in the world. Some countries have been using the resources of telemedicine to enable health care in situations where distance is a critical factor, including cardiovascular diseases. In Brazil, the State of Minas Gerais has a telecardiology system, the Teleminas Saúde Project, which covers approximadely 70% of the state population.
